The Studies INTRODUCTION: Anthem One UV-C light has been examined for its capability for eradication of human pathogenic viral agents including members of Coronaviruses, Flaviviruses, and Retroviruses. We demonstrated that 10-20 seconds exposure of human coronavirus OC-43, Zika Virus (ZIKV), and HTLV- 1 viral stocks to Anthem One UV-C light eliminates all viral infectivity in cells in culture. Test results were provided by both Temple and George Mason Universities. Summary Conclusions: Anthem One Mark II effectively inactivates ZIKV, Beta-coronavirus OC-43, and HTLV-1 infectivity and perhaps several other RNA viruses. We demonstrated that a 10-20 second exposure of human coronavirus OC-43, Zika Virus (ZIKV), and HTLV-1 viral stocks to the Anthem One UV-C light eliminates all viral infectivity in cells in culture.
The Device How it works
• An active SARS-CV-2 virus floats in the air or lands on the surface of an object. • A wave of 265 UC-V collides with the virus, rupturing its protective liquid shell and exposing its fragile Ribonucleic Acid (RNA) strand. • The UV-C wave decouples he RNA's adenine compounds, causing thymine dimmers to "kink up" the RNA5mJ/cm of 265 nm UV-Ci sufficient to de-active 99.9% of SAR-CoV-2 • The viral RNA disintegrates as the lipid shell continues to fracture. • The UV-C can now be deactivated. The remaining viral debris continues to disintegrate. What’s Included • UV-C LIGHT (10,000 HOURS). Approximately 10 years of service life • 30 FT CORD • CARRYING GRIP HANDLE • HANDLE CARRYING CASE • DEVICE SIZE-5.5 in. Length X 5.5 in. Height X 5.5 in. Width (8 pounds)

Anthem One PW-UVC-001 The information in this paper is compiled from dozens of studies by some of the best doctors and scientists on earth. Anthem One UV-C product is uniquely suited to fight SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) as well as other viruses, bacteria, spores, and pathogens. In the words of Dr. Kamel Khalili, Ph.D., Director, Center for Neurovirology Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, who completed multiple tests on Anthem One UV-C product, “I see this technology as a great innovation, potentially with an extraordinary use in today’s, as well as future infectious disease outbreaks." Anthem One has been working to get this powerful tool in the hands of commercial, industrial, and medical professionals so that together we can save lives.
AN OVERVIEW Unfortunately, there has been much misinformation published about UVC. It is critical that you test it against every NIH study that is referenced. As you read through this paper, you’ll see everything is cited and has links to the NIH studies we refer to. Be skeptical, read the articles and verify with the authors of those articles.
WHAT ARE THE GOALS? 1: Quickly educate you on the safety and efficacy of UV-C, if used as directed for disinfection or prescribed in appropriate dosages as a medical treatment. 2: Empower commercial, industrial, and medical facilities to use the durable UV-C devices to their fullest. 3: Dispel the pseudo-science surrounding UV-C. Dispelling the common person’s belief that toylike devices are as effective as industrial UV-C lamps. Understanding the need for dosimeter cards as a field validation device. Currently, most people understand UV-C “backwards and inside-out.” They trust UV-C to quickly sterilize a room without dosimeter cards and without much consideration for size of space, they think a toy from the internet can disinfect large areas but are afraid to expose themselves to UV-C. The truth is the opposite of both scenarios. UV-C’s short wavelength struggles to penetrate our dead skin cells and epidermis, making it far, far safer than UV-B or UV-A exposure but tiny toys are ineffective and only industrial-grade UV-C devices can generate a sufficient amount of UV-C to properly disinfect a PPE, a room or a human. Experienced doctors have used UV-C inside the human body to aid in sterilization. Harvard Medical School published this article on how Boston Children’s Hospital is using UV-C inside the human body during heart surgery. A catheter with a UV-C emitter is inserted into the human body. The UV-C frequency both cures (solidifies) the adhesive and disinfects internal tissue reducing the need for postoperative antibiotics.
THE SCIENCE OF UV-C The disinfection abilities of Ultra-violet radiation have been understood for more than 100 years. However, applying this science has been constrained because of outdated technology. Please click on this link to read an overview of the science of UVC, the limitations of Mercury Vapor technology and the unique attributes of Anthem One’s UV-C delivery system. As you can see, UVC’s medical
properties have been well understood for decades, well-researched by dozens of scientists and the NIH has dozens of articles that explain exactly how UVC works, what an appropriate human dosage is and what happens when a human is exposed to too much UVC. In addition, UVC is safe for human exposure in limited doses. Please click this link to read an NIH study on UV-C exposure in humans and mammals, written by doctors from Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Brooke Army Medical Center. What they concluded is UV-C does not penetrate human dead skin cells or the epidermis easily, but it enters and disrupts the lipid layer of all pathogens (all viruses except HIV, all bacteria including coronavirus, all single-cell pathogens and half of all spores) easily. There is no known mutagen (meaning, no known method for evolving a resistance to UV-C radiation). For additional corroborative evidence that UV-C is safe (in appropriate dosages), also review the CIE article at the bottom of this paper. Based on the papers on the NIH website regarding UV-C, it is the best weapon available to kill any pathogen, including Covid-19. And any device that emits sufficient UV-C is a viable commercial, industrial, and medical disinfector. The science is the same for all UV-C sterilizers. However, there is a growing number of companies that are selling small UV-C wands and exaggerating their abilities. It is important that people understand that UV-C is science, not magic. A 4-watt handheld wand cannot magically sterilize a room or person. It can, at best, sterilize one side of a phone in about 15 minutes. And without a dosimeter for validation, there is no way to prove that the wand you bought on Amazon is delivering sufficient UV-C in the correct frequency to deactivate (“kill” in layman’s terms) any virus. At the very least, dosimeters (which are discussed in detail below), should be used whenever someone is using UV-C to sterilize a surface, item, or person. Mercury Vapor (MV) and Xenon are effective, as long as they are industrial strength, but they have their own flaws that must be understood: 1: MV tubes lose efficacy over time and produce some UV-A and UV-B. Dosimeters MUST be used with MV tubes. 2: Xenon pulsed light may be an effective sterilizer, but it is the wrong frequency for most serious pathogens. According to the CEO of Intellego Technologies (mentioned in detail below) the spectral output of Xenon is 310nm, which is at the cusp of UV-A and UV-B. 3: The price of these devices is astronomical. Typical systems retail for $45,000 - $125,000. 4: They are not modular or portable. 5: They cannot effectively sterilize large areas quickly. When their websites claim they do “whole room sterilization” what they mean is “high-touch-point localized sterilization in a room.” 6: If MV Tubes crack, they release vaporized mercury which is a known neurotoxin. 7: MV tubes create Ozone.
MEASURING AN EFFECTIVE AMOUNT OF UV-C Many facilities are relying on time to determine if a room has been disinfected. Time measures nothing except time. Since every device delivers a different amount of UV-C, different pathogens have different “peak deactivation frequencies” and every room in the world has its own unique challenges because of its shape and the furniture that occupies it, time cannot be used as the sole method for determining dosage. So, if a stopwatch is the wrong way to determine sterilization efficacy, how does one measure exposure properly? Luckily, there are products available from Intellego Technologies (and reseller American Ultraviolet), which sells paper dosimeters and Extech which sells digital UV-C meters.

Any of these companies solves the problem of dosage. A facility can buy their product and make sure they are delivering an appropriate amount of UV-C on any given surface.
HOW UV-C DESTROYS PATHOGENS The short version is simple. The fast, short wavelengths of UV-C disrupt the lipid shell of pathogens, popping them like popcorn. And the same frequency decouples the RNA strand inside the pathogen. Pathogens lack the genetic tools to repair RNA, so once the RNA strand has been decoupled it cannot repair itself. Conventionally, most people call this “killing a virus.” Because viruses are not technically alive, scientists prefer the term “deactivation.” Either way, UV-C’s ability to both explode the lipid shell and decouple the RNA strand means that pathogens of all kinds (viruses, bacteria, and fungi) are completely destroyed. BOSTON UNIVERSITY PROVES 25mJ ACHIEVES 99.9999% STERILIZATION: Boston University tested UV-C against SARS-CoV-2 to determine the amount of energy necessary to deactivate the virus. The Boston University team’s study proved that 5mJ/cm2 achieves 3-LOG sterilization and 22mJ/cm2 achieves 6-LOG sterilization. This is an amazing breakthrough, because it proves that SARS-CoV-2 (which causes COVID-19) is a relatively fragile virus that is easily disrupted by UV-C. And, depending upon the number of protein spikes, whether the outer wall is a single or double layer of lipids, whether there are other surface structures, the size of the pathogen (bacteria is about 10X larger than viruses, in general, which is why C diff requires 100mJ to achieve a 3-LOG deactivation) all of that determines how many mJ are necessary to deactivate a pathogen.
Clinical Study Temple University’s Katz School of Medicine test of Anthem One concluded that a fifteen second exposure at 16 inches is sufficient to deactivate virus to greater than 3-LOG (99.9%) George Mason University peer reviewed and received the same results. George Mason also tested the device on human lung tissue and after 30 minutes of exposure, lung tissue cultures had no cytotoxicity. The performance achieved by these two series of tests is remarkable. These results validate Anthem One UVC capacity to disinfect and inactivate all types of micro- organisms using UV-C technology, including SARS, and place Anthem One in the top tier of the world's companies that have obtained such performance for a surface- disinfecting system. Today, virtually all hygiene and disinfection procedures are done with chemicals, primarily bleach, alcohol, formaldehyde, and quaternary ammonium. Some of these old methods are hazardous to health and the environment, and the protocols currently in place increase the dosages, which can impact materials on contact and even expose people close to these chemicals. UV-C rays only require the operator to use eye or skin protection. They are chemical-free and without side effects. UV-C disinfection technology has been around for a long time. It was little known until recently and mainly used to disinfect water. It is also highly suitable for surfaces and indoor areas. This product is designed to be

THE FIVE WAYS ANTHEM ONE CAN HELP IN THIS CRISIS We’re in a global crisis and it is critical that people understand why Anthem One PW-UVC-01 is the device designed to solve some of the worst problems of the Covid-19 pandemic. All the existing Anthem One UV-C commercial, industrial and medical competitive products are not designed for a crisis situation. They are designed to sterilize a hospital room in (approximately) an hour. A sterilizing robot slowly moves to each “high touch point” and sterilizes it. What makes Anthem One unique as a UV-C system is: 1: No Chemicals 2: No dangerous Mercury 3: No creation of Ozone 4: It’s the smallest commercial, industrial, and medical light with its power output in the world. 6: It’s the only commercial, industrial, and medical light that has interchangeable light cards, which means different light frequencies for different pathogens can be employed (Currently, 265nm is available). 7: And, it's the most affordable commercial, industrial and medical light in the world. Please click on this link to see that our LEDs achieve greater than 6-log sterilization and this link to read the report performed in a SGS independent lab. Most commercial, industrial, and medical devices are only 3-Log. At 6-Log Plus, we are the best in the world. And that’s with only one LED. Anthem Light Card has 180 of those LEDs. While 180 LEDs will kill pathogens faster, that’s not the purpose. The purpose of 180 LEDs is size/scale/volume of space. There are three factors in deactivating a pathogen: INTENSITY: The amount of UV-C energy delivered to a particular pathogen. This is measured in mJ/cm2 (millijoules per square centimeter). The higher the number, the more energy is being delivered to the pathogen. FREQUENCY: Each pathogen has a different key deactivation frequency. 254nm has been the standard delivery frequency because it is the only frequency that Mercury Vapor can produce. Delivering the wrong frequency will still work but requires significantly more energy and more time to achieve the same result versus the Anthem One PW-UVC-01 device. As stated, 254nm was the only option for Mercury Vapor solutions. Anthem does not use the Mercury Vapor and produced a light that outputs at 265nm which is the sweet spot for deactivation. An advantage of Anthem One technology is our ability to deliver a very narrow band spectrum which is not possible with Mercury Vapor tubes. DURATION: Time is also a factor. Increasing intensity decreases time. Delivering the key frequency decreases time. Time is the brute force solution. DISTANCE IS AN ASPECT OF INTENSITY: Change the distance, change the intensity.

RESULT: Studies like this one indicate the duration and intensity necessary to deactivate a particular pathogen. Because the doctors had no access to a variable-frequency device, they could not test for frequency deactivation. Therefore, most of the scientific data only estimates Intensity and Duration based on a 254nm frequency. Anthem One is a variable frequency device. We chose to manufacture our first medical-grade disinfection and sterilization Light Card at 265nm. However, we can achieve any frequency and will eventually produce more Light Cards at different UV frequencies. Therefore, we can attenuate our photonic frequency to the key frequency necessary to deactivate specific pathogens. A typical Mercury Vapor device, such as Surficide’s device, achieves approx. 30 mJ/cm2 per minute. (It’s worth noting that it changes across the tube’s surface, just like a flourescent lamp would. So, it isn’t a constant.) The average seems to be 30 mJ/cm2 per minute because its 900 mJ/cm2 for 30 minutes. Anthem One outputs 2,850 mJ/cm2 per second. Nothing comes close to Anthem one in: 1. Kill Power – 1 Anthem can do what it would take tens and hundreds of the other devices to do 2. Mobility – the size of Anthem One UV-C allows it to be used anywhere and move any where 3. Power Consumption – minimal (standard wall socket), 205 Watt, 5.2 Amps
Chemical Alternatives Here are a variety of studies that show the flaws in traditional cleaning techniques & tools: DETERGENT WIPES: Regardless of the chemical agent, wet wipes have two drawbacks. The amount of pathogens they remove is highly variable and unreliable. And they tend to transfer active pathogens between surfaces. Here are the medical studies that show this. Clorox germicidal wipes were used in this study. They concluded that the wipes were transferring spores to perfectly clean/sterile areas: Sporicidal wipes are effective at killing spores after 5 MINUTES but almost universally transfer spores as well. (The most important factor for us is time; wipes need LONG EXPOSURE periods to be effective). See Report CHEMICALS BANNED IN OVER-THE-COUNTER SOAPS ARE NOT YET BANNED IN HOSPITALS: Triclosan is toxic to humans. It was the main active ingredient for years in antibacterial soaps. It isn’t any better at destroying pathogens than plain, ordinary soap. But it’s also toxic; triclosan weakens heart and skeletal muscles. And humans absorb it easily when showering. Despite this, it isn’t banned in hand sanitizers, hand wipes or in hospital settings. In short, a company could be buying these based on the word “antibacterial” and not realize that it is both harmful to humans and not statistically significant at sterilizing. See Report

MANUFACTURERS OF WIPES RECOMMEND A MINIMUM OF ONE FULL MINUTE OF CONTACT TIME: Whether it is a spray or a wet-wipe, the manufacturer recommends a full minute of contact time. Then, the environment was sampled 2-5 minutes after contact had ended. Both wet wipes and sprays could be effective, but the point here is the TIME and SKILL required to achieve effective decontamination. It is also worth noting that despite all the protocols they used, “bacteriophage could be recovered from PPE surface following disinfection in nearly all instances." See Report. Household bleach is about 5,000 PPM Chlorine. At that level, its also toxic and people need to wear PPE. CLOROX’S OWN CLAIMS: What you can see on their website is that it takes a full minute of exposure to kill most viruses. Fungi is 3 minutes. Bacteria is 30 seconds. To achieve that, the bleach must be in full contact with pathogens for the entire period of time. 30 seconds - 3 minutes. And they do not tell you what level of disinfecting that achieves! Based on the studies above, that will be LESS THAN 1-LOG.

Anthem One UV-C FAQs What training is necessary to use the light? -
https://youtu.be/GUYu2FHdXr4
Training to use the Anthem One UV-C disinfection device is simple: o Wear long sleeves and use the UV-C rated glasses and gloves that come with each device o Warning not to point the light at people or pets with particular attention not to expose eyes or skin § If other people are in the room, they will need UV-C rated glasses, gloves and long sleeves and the operator will take care not to point the device in their direction o The device comes with a keyed lock so that it can be used only by authorized personnel o When ready to treat surfaces, simply switch the keyed lock on, turn the power switch to on and start to treat surfaces by passing the unit 2 – 3 inches over surfaces to be disinfected. o Move at about 1 foot per second o Placing dosimeter cards (which measure dosage of treatment) at random points on the surfaces being treated will provide confirmation of the effectiveness of the process
How many people can safely clean a room at the same time? - As above, multiple people can operate this equipment in the same room wearing UV-C glasses, gloves and long sleeves and taking care not to point the device at each other. The easiest way to keep all operators safe is for them to work in parallel rows How long do you have to wait to enter a room that has just been sterilized with your lights? - There is no waiting time after treatment as there is no residual light Do your lights contain mercury or create ozone? - Anthem One LED UV-C devices contain no mercury and create no ozone. The device is extremely durable and safe and has been tested by dropping it onto concrete from 4 – 6 feet multiple times with no damage to the unit and no decrease in functionality Why is that important and how does that impact price? - The Anthem One LED UV-C device operates within a narrow band with a peak at 265 nm. - UV-C mercury vapor bulbs operate in a wider band with a peak at 254 nm and emitting UV-A, UV-B and UV-C. The disadvantage of this is the negative effect that UV-A and UV-B have on human skin. - Anthem One UV-C is only available in a commercial version and competes with the following: o Skytron Sentry (mercury vapor bulbs) selling in the range of $43,000 o Tru-D Smart UV-C (mercury vapor bulbs) selling in the range of $125,000 o Xenex Lightstrike (Pulsed Xenon bulbs) selling in the range of $100,000 o UVC Cleaning Systems 850M9 (mercury vapor bulbs) selling in the range of $43,000 o Anthem One PW-01 UV-C (LED light card) device sells at $14,000 - Anthem has significantly more disinfecting power than any of these and has been able to keep costs down by using lean-company principles since the formation of the company

Are your lights eco-friendly and how? - Anthem One LED’s have a low carbon footprint, particularly compared to old technology such as mercury vapor bulbs. Anthem draws only 260 watts while most competitors draw 1,800 to 2,340 watts or more - Over 75% energy savings compared to the most efficient competitor - Mercury has long been known to be a highly toxic element and can be fatal if inhaled o Anthem devices do not contain mercury o Most competitive products operate using mercury - Anthem One LED’s do not produce ozone o Most mercury vapor bulbs produce ozone § Ozone, when inhaled can damage the lungs and worsen respiratory disease - Anthem One LED’s have a long service life of 10,000 hours versus 3,000 for mercury vapor operated devices. There is minimal environmental impact when recycling the Anthem One device. A user will recycle 3.33 mercury vapor devices for every one of Anthem’s devices. - Anthem One is compact and lightweight making it ideal for use as a hand-held portable disinfection device - Anthem One provides an eco-friendly alternative to using harsh chemicals o Anthem One has a proven 99.9999% efficacy in destroying pathogens o For chemicals to successfully destroy pathogens, they must be used in one of the following ways: § Chemicals strong enough to destroy pathogens quickly – requiring professional application while wearing hazmat PPE • Very expensive and not practical for most use-cases § Chemicals left on the surfaces for an extended period and then wiped off • Very high labor cost and danger of residual chemicals left on surfaces § Chemicals sprayed on surfaces and left to dry • Indiscriminate use of chemicals in this fashion, even when claims are made that they aren’t harmful to humans, leaves one concerned for long term safety of the environment and those within that environment that are touching and breathing these chemicals o Many chemical “wipes” are currently being used in both home and commercial environments. Numerous studies have shown that the low level of chemical in these products would require extended contact with the surfaces being treated and in the majority of use-cases, the time is insufficient for effective treatment. Far worse is the fact that the wipe becomes a transport mechanism for the pathogens that were present in any area wiped to all other areas wiped.

How long does it take to clean a standard room of 20x20, 20x30, and 30x30 with one light, two lights, etc. - The cleaning time will vary widely based on the amount of surface area to clean in each room. For example, a room with only table and chairs that are quite spread out would be quite fast compared to an open area office with densely clustered cubicles. If each cubicle had a chair, phone, computer keyboard and miscellaneous shelves and personal effects, it would take significantly longer than the meeting room with only tables and chairs. -
-
20 X 20 = 400 sq ft: o Using the assumption that this room contains 4 tables with 6 chairs at each table, it would be a reasonable assumption that the total surface area for treatment is approximately 120 square feet plus door hardware for entry and exit, door edges and door frame edges and any miscellaneous surfaces that stand out as touch points. § Treatment time would be about 4 minutes with one light 20 X 30 = 600 sq ft o Similar type of room as above § Treatment time of about 5 - 7 minutes with one light 30 X 30 = 900 sq ft o Similar room as above § Treatment time of about 8 - 10 minutes with one light
How do you calculate how many devices are needed? - To calculate the number of devices needed in any given area, you would first calculate the time to clean each room, then based on the time available for disinfecting, you will be able to calculate how many rooms can be cleaned with each device. - For example: if it takes 5 – 7 minutes to disinfect each room and turnover time allotted is 10 minutes, you will need one device for each room. - If turnover time is 15 minutes in the above scenario, you will need one device for every two rooms - Number of devices needed for vehicles can be calculated based on where the vehicle is when driver and/or passengers change. o When a vehicle is always turning over occupants at the same location, one device can be used for many vehicles. o In the case of a van or bus that takes on passengers when it is away from the central service facility – each one will need its own device. If the vehicle doesn’t have 120 volt power available on board, it will also require a battery pack.
