The real question for us today is not, “Will God speak to me — to us today?” Instead, will we listen for that voice that is speaking? Jesus doesn’t say, “Listen and maybe I’ll have something to say.” He says, “Listen to my voice.” “I am speaking” is the implied message, so pay

CALL TO WORSHIP “Psalm 23
Verse 1 I’m pressing on the upward way, New heights I’m gaining ev’ry day; Still praying as I’m onward bound, “Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”
Verse 2 My heart has no desire to stay Where doubts arise and fears dismay; Though some may dwell where these abound, My prayer, my aim, is higher ground.
Response: My shepherd is the Lord, nothing indeed shall I want. Leader: People:
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He mak eth me lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters.
Verse 4 I want to scale the utmost height, And catch a gleam of glory bright; But still I’ll pray till heav’n I’ve found, “Lord, lead me on to higher ground.”
Leader:
He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Refrain Lord, lift me up, and let me stand By faith, on heaven’s table-land; A higher plane than I have found, “Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”
People:
(Verse 3 omitted.)

INVITATION TO CHRISTIAN DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRY THROUGH TITHES AND OFFERINGS By: Rev. Dr. Ken Sloane Director of Stewardship & Generosity, Discipleship Ministries, The United Methodist Church
Ever-present God, who speaks in thunder and earthquakes and in the softest whisper: we long to hear your voice over all the noise of the world this day. In a world so divided and polarized, we need to hear not only the voice of the Shepherd, but the cries of other sheep who are being marginalized, forgotten, and abandoned. May the gifts we offer today, be our response to hearing the one who speaks in the language of love and compassion. In his holy name, Amen. (John 10:11-18)
BLESSING AND SENDING FORTH Go in peace. “Cry Holy”
By: Brent Jones
Response: My shepherd is the Lord, nothing indeed shall I want. Leader:
People:
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the day of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Response: My shepherd is the Lord, nothing indeed shall I want.
