PRAYER
“Psalm 89:20-37”
Dr. Sherry L. Daniels
I have found David, my servant; with my holy oil I have anointed him; so that my hand shall ever abide with him, my arm also shall strengthen him. The enemy shall not outwit him, the wicked shall not humble him. I will crush his foes before him and strike down those who hate him. My faithfulness and my steadfast love shall be with him, and in my name shall his horn be exalted. I will set his hand on the sea and his right hand on the rivers.
Response: O Lord, your love is constant; you are faithful to all generations. Leader:
People:
I will not violate my covenant, or alter the word that went forth from my lips. Once for all, I have sworn by my holiness; I will not lie to David.
CALL TO WORSHIP Response: O Lord, your love is constant; you are faithful to all generations. Leader:
Leader:
“He shall cry to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.’ And I will make him the first-born, the highest of the kings of the earth. My steadfast love I will keep for him forever, and my covenant will stand firm for him. I will establish his line forever and his throne as the days of the heavens. If his children forsake my law and do not walk according to my ordinances, if they violate my statutes and do not keep my commandments, then I will punish their transgression with the rod and their iniquity with scourges; but I will not remove from him my steadfast love, or be false to my faithfulness.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ INVITATION TO CHRISTIAN DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRY THROUGH TITHES AND OFFERINGS By: Rev. Dr. Ken Sloane Director of Stewardship & Generosity, Discipleship Ministries, The United Methodist Church Holy God, you love us so deeply that you pursue us relentlessly. You sent your son Jesus into the world that we who were far off would be brought near to you by his blood. We offer our gifts to you, knowing we can never outgive you, never balance the equation. You don’t desire balance, no quid-pro-quo, only that we find the peace you desire for us, whose foundation is in your word, and whose cornerstone is Christ alone. In that holy name, we pray. Amen. (Ephesians 2:11-22)

ANNOUNCEMENTS AND UPCOMING EVENTS ~ AT-A-GLANCE ~ PRAISE TEAM
Our Praise Team is on a much needed break; however, although they are not physically present, they have still provided us with our music for worship. THANK YOU, Praise Team, for your dedication and service over the past year and a half! God Bless You All!! NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS AVAILABLE
Every Sunday after worship, there will be non-perishable food items available for church members and guests in the Fellowship Hall. All members and guests that receive food MUST sign the sign-in sheet for statistical purposes. Please email or call the church office if you desire to come during office hours, Tuesday-Thursday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. New items will be added weekly. Remember, this is a true form of evangelism, outreach, and mission. Reach out to someone in your neighborhood that may have a need, and let us show them the love of Christ. We must reach beyond our walls and ourselves, remembering the blessings that we experience every single day. We have bags; however, we ask that you bring your own plastic and/or reusable bags. FOOD HANDLERS CARD
All volunteers, please remember to update your food handlers card and give a copy of your certificate to the church office to be posted. If you do not have one, please consider getting one. We will be needing volunteers for future ministries. NUMC BIBLE READING PLAN

What does it mean to be the dwelling place or a dwelling place for God? How can we present the church and/or the community of faith of something worthy of that designation? In this second chapter of Ephesians, this is the description that we are given of the church: the dwelling place of God. God takes up residence among us. What does it mean to be God’s home?
