“Enter Into His Gates with Thanksgiving & Praise” October 31, 2021 OPENING “We Sing to the Glory of God” By: Ruby Mann Pool
CALL TO WORSHIP Leader:
Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised;
People:
His greatness is unsearchable.
Leader:
One generation shall laud your works to another,
People:
and shall declare your mighty acts.
Leader:
On the glorious splendor of your majesty,
People:
and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.
Leader:
The might of your awesome deeds shall be proclaimed,
People:
and I will declare your greatness.
ALL:
Amen!
Verse 2 My heart has no desire to stay Where doubts arise and fears dismay; Though some may dwell where these abound, My prayer, my aim, is higher ground. Verse 4 I want to scale the utmost height, And catch a gleam of glory bright; But still I’ll pray till heav’n I’ve found, “Lord, lead me on to higher ground.” Refrain Lord, lift me up, and let me stand By faith, on heaven’s tableland; A higher plane than I have found, “Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.” (Verse 3 omitted.)
INVITATION TO CHRISTIAN DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRY THROUGH TITHES AND OFFERINGS By: Rev. Dr. Ken Sloane Director of Stewardship & Generosity, Discipleship Ministries, The United Methodist Church Holy God, architect of the universe: You have wonderfully made every delicate intricacy of this world! Then you placed human beings in the center of it, as we stumble our way through living our lives in union with your will, and in harmony with creation. As we offer our tithes and gifts this morning, we thank you for sending your Jesus to show us the way in simple language: loving you with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength; and loving our neighbor as we love ourselves. May our gifts be dedicated toward making both a reality. In Christ we pray. Amen. (Mark 12:28-34)

All Saints Day is one of those moments where we celebrate and remember those who have made the journey or who have taken the next step. We remember them because they are still a part of us, shaping us, mentoring us – maybe not in a direct way, but in a real way.
