As we proceed through this process there are certain things that will need to be done quickly. A link to set up your profile in the FEMA Grants Portal is provided on the next page. Time is critical at this point, so please set up your profile in this portal ASAP. After you have set up your profile, kindly follow the directions below to submit your RPA (Request for Public Assistance) documents listed below may or may not be needed. Please note that this step must be done to determine your eligibility to apply for the FEMA Grant. If you don't have your records/files in PDF format, you should get this done because you will have to upload documents for most programs to be considered for funding.
This step must be taken to determine if your church qualifies for the FEMA assistance program, which will pay for the lights, installation, and consultation/administrative costs after the approval of your application.
Go to https://grantee.fema.gov/#resources, and look under Grants Portal Resources to download the most current version of the "Applicant:Grants Portal User Manual."
Prior to setting up your Profile for your Church/Non-Profit and prior to submitting an RPA for a PNP, have the following required documents ready just in case it's needed. You will not be able to proceed without the requested documents. PNP Facility Questionnaire Copy of Tax Exemption Certificate. (Ruling letter from the IRS granting tax exemption or State certification stating the entity is a nonprofit. The sales tax exemption certificate cannot be used to meet this requirement.) Organization Charter, Articles of Incorporation, or By-Laws Information on accreditation or certification (school or educational facility only) Insurance policy Proof of Ownership Complete the information requested on the Request for Public Assistance screens and hit submit.
While you are waiting for FEMA's approval. . .
IMDS & You will receive an email invite to a ZOOM meeting with your team from a representative of IMDS to review the Room Inventory form. This information will be used to prepare your proposal to FEMA. This meeting is critical to ensure the total cost projections and inventory needed to complete your project.
You need to secure these bids ASAP so your project can start quickly once the necessary approvals are in place. You will receive more information during your ZOOM meeting with IMDS & the Syngestic Sanitizing Solutions consultant. Your team will want to ensure that the contractor can complete the entire project by July 1, 2022, for 100% funding. This funding amount will be reduced to 90% after this date. There is a possibility of an extension, however, you do not want to take this risk.
Synergistic Sanitizing Solutions's representative will recommend a consultant that specializes in working with FEMA Grants. This is optional but highly recommended. You want your application to be funded or 'Obiligated' at 100%. You want to complete this application quickly with professionals that understand the FEMA system and have a track record of success. Immediately following your ZOOM meeting with IMDS and Synergistic Sanitizing Solutions, schedule this meeting to speak with your consultant.
