Be encouraged with Scripture on why we should give
thanks and how to express our gratitude. It’s so easy during the holiday season (or any time of the year!) to be overwhelmed with all the tasks and activities to do that we forget to stop and reflect on why we should be celebrating. Our Prayer Call Ministry has made a difference in many lives and will continue to do so. One of the things that we are committed to do is provide excellent resources for our members and friends that will help them be life-long learners. Take a minute to stop and read these Bible verses and prayers as you meditate on all the ways God has blessed you!
Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to gather with family and friends and reflect on the blessings of the last year. Many of us experience renewed hope and faith during the Thanksgiving holiday because we turn our eyes onto what is most important. What if we spent time each day in giving thanks and prayer? How could God grow out faith and trust if we lived a life of thanks through all seasons and not just Thanksgiving time? When your heart is filled with gratitude, there is little room to worry or complain. We would love to encourage and help you along the way toward greater hope and joy! Start living out the promises of God that Jesus came “that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10.
I will give to the Lord the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, the Most High. PS A L M 7:17

Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods. PSAL M 9 5 :2-3
All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 2 COR INT HIANS 4 :15-16
You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 2 COR IN T HIANS 9:11-12
For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers EPH ESIA N S 1:15 -16

God, we thank you for the blessing and joy of family. Thank you for those who are gathered with us today and those who are far away. May we all see the many ways you provide for us, comfort us and protect us. Bless this food to make us healthy and strong. Amen.

Thank you, God, for all your blessings to me and my family; for the strength you give me each day and for all the people around me who make life more meaningful. Amen.
