McIntosh Unveils MHT300 Home Theatre Receiver for Unmatched Sound and Video Experience

McIntosh, the global leader in distinguished home audio systems, has announced the launch of its latest home theatre receiver, the MHT300. This powerful AV receiver combines the latest video and audio technologies to offer an unparalleled cinematic experience to movie lovers.

Featuring a 7.2 channel AVR, expandable to 7.2.4, the MHT300 delivers 150 Watts per channel into 4 Ohms/120 Watts per channel into 8 Ohms (with ALL 7 channels driven). The receiver is compatible with 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz video and supports surround sound audio formats Dolby® Atmos and DTS:X™. The MHT300 is engineered to deliver blockbuster power to all speakers, all the time. The power ratings apply to all seven channels being driven, meaning every 4 Ohm speaker will receive 150 Watts and every 8 Ohm speaker will receive 120 Watts of heart-pounding McIntosh power. The receiver has built-in processing for additional Height Channels 1&2, which can be enhanced with an additional 4 Channel power amplifier (MI254).

The MHT300’s connectivity options include 4 HDMI inputs and 1 HDMI output. Each HDMI port is HDCP 2.3 compliant, and all ports have 40Gbps of bandwidth and are compatible with High Dynamic Range (HDR) formats Dolby Vision™, HDR10+, and HLG. Additionally, the MHT300 features an enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) functionality.

The receiver is equipped with seven premium 32-bit Digital-to-Analog Converters (DACs) to provide audiophile-grade processing. The Dirac Live Room Correction and

Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HLG technologies ensure the sound quality is top-notch, and the video quality is unmatched.

The MHT300 also features many McIntosh design cues, including a black glass front panel, an illuminated McIntosh logo, rotary control knobs, and a familiar form factor highlighted by silver trim.

The MHT300 is a 3U rack-mountable receiver and is available now through authorized McIntosh dealers.
