Our simple cost structure is a guide to finding the right surface for a customer’s budget and project. Smartstone price points are based on the composition, pattern and the particular manufacturing process of the surfaces in the range, and do not reflect its quality.

This low silica, up to 56% recycled formulation was implemented in 2022 with the magnificent Ibrido Collection, with the full range transitioning to Smartstone NewGen in 2023. Smartstone also offers a superb porcelain range via an exclusive partnership with Italy’s Atlas Plan.

SMARTSTONE CREDENTIALS

Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

Smartstone engineered stone and porcelain surfaces are covered by an SDS (Safety Data Sheet) issued by Risk Management Technologies using the ChemAlert global management system to demonstrate compliance with relevant legislative standards for health and safety. An SDS contains information about the material’s composition as well as its physical and chemical properties and outlines procedures for safe handling, storage, transport, and disposal. Smartstone SDS are available on request. All Smartstone surfaces contain less than 28% crystalline silica content. All engineered surfaces are subject to ongoing testing in Australia to meet current worksafe guidelines.

International Certifications

Smartstone surfaces’ global certifications include NSF/ANSI Std. 51 (National Sanitation Foundation – Food Equipment Materials). NSF is the largest global organisation in the inspection and certification sector of products and materials that come into contact with foodstuffs and drinking water. Smartstone slabs are Greenguard certified to have very low chemical and particle emissions, which contributes to healthier interiors. Additionally, Greenguard Gold certification ensures that Smartstone surfaces meet the criteria for use in schools and healthcare facilities.

Durability and Performance

Smartstone NewGen, Ibrido and porcelain surfaces are independently tested by Australia’s Stone Initiatives, a NATA-accredited evaluation company that specialises in testing for performance, durability and quality assurance. Smartstone surfaces have achieved the following industry and environmental certifications. The below testing results provide assurance of Smartstone’s extreme durability and practical qualities, including high resistance to heat, household chemicals and chipping. All Smartstone surfaces are nonporous, offering superior resistance to moisture and staining.
