LEAD WITH AN EDGE The St. Mary’s College of Maryland mathematics curriculum provides a solid knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts and their applications. In the process of learning, students acquire important problemsolving and critical thinking skills that extend to their non-academic lives. Our small student-faculty ratio means that you get to work closely with supportive professors and engage in directed independent study and research. Furthermore, we have a variety of student math clubs and organizations throughout our close-knit community. Our graduates report that they are very well prepared for careers in government, business, or industry, for teaching careers, and for further study in math, applied math, statistics, and data science.
