Every day at Tufts is a chance to experience our close-knit community, whether studying with friends over coffee, or attending a Sunday concert on campus. Of course, your professors are a big part of the Tufts experience too. They’re always happy to support you, whether they’re sharing guidance as you prepare for the annual Graduate Research Symposium, or chatting after class, in the lab, or in the library. Our annual school-wide BBQ is always a great start to the year. The Graduate Student Council provides many opportunities to find support and connect socially with other graduate students across the university.

Grad students call our location “perfect” because we offer a rare combination: a beautiful and welcoming residential campus with easy access to an exciting metropolitan city.

Our Campus

You’ll find inspiration everywhere, from exploring the Tufts Art Galleries to strolling across our green academic quad between classes. Since our Medford/Somerville campus is outside Boston proper, parking is easier and nearby housing is more affordable.

Our Location

The Boston area is famous for its rich history, stellar intellectual resources, and diverse student population. With just a 10-minute walk or a 5-minute shuttle ride, you’re in the hip neighborhood of Davis Square, or on the subway to downtown Boston. Just to the north of the city are the beautiful mountains of nearby New Hampshire and Vermont.

Visiting Tufts

The best way to learn if Tufts is right for you: come meet our students and professors, and tour our campus.
