Snuggle Up Materials
Make a blanket that they will snuggle up with, after they leave the party.
• Scissors • Selcet Fleece Material • Large Open Space
Instructions... Step One
Go to a local fabric store such as JoAnne’s Fabric, and choose two rolls of fleece fabric that you would like for your blanket. Select a size that fits to the size of blanket you would like. The fleeces should be the same except for the pattern; i.e., don’t use different thicknesses or textures. You also want to make sure the fleece isn’t too thick or it will be really difficult to cut.
Step Two
At home, lay the blankets down evenly on top of each other, and clip them together so they don’t move.
Step Three
Choose a side to begin and fold the two fabrics up about an inch and a half and use four or five pieces of tape to secure it along this side. Make sure that it is even.
Just For you 4
Step Four
Begin cutting along the folded piece up to the edge of where the fold ends. Bring your scissors just past the end of the fold. Make your cuts about an inch apart so your strips will be about an inch in thickness. Continue until you finish the entire side. Be sure to cut evenly.
Step Five
Begin tying the two fabrics together. The pieces that were cut together are tied together. It’s easy to get off a tie, so pay attention so you don’t have to go back and untie.
Step Six
Continue on for the remaining three sides. The corners can be a
bit tricky. Cut as you did the first side and cut off any ties that look awkward on the corners so that you have a right angle.
Step Seven
Tie a bow around the blanket and you have a great homemade baby gift!
Three Ways to make Fun Holiday Cupcakes
Ingredients
*Cupcake * Round, red lollipops (we used a Blow Pop) * M&M’s candies * Black decorators’ gel frosting * Pretzels * Red shoestring licorice
Instructions Step One
To make one, first frost a cooled cupcake (baked from your favorite recipe) with chocolate frosting.

For eyes, set 2 M&M’s candies in place, then dot them with black decorators’ gel frosting. Carefully break large thin pretzels into antler shapes (this may take some practice!) and insert them into the top of the cupcake. Finally, add a short piece of red shoestring licorice for a mouth.

Easy as a Paint by Numbers Materials...
• Blank Cards • Scrap Paper • Acrylic Paint • Paint Brush Set
Step One
Double load your brush with two brown colors. You want to have a light brown and a dark brown. With the dark brown to the outside make the outline of your gingerbread boy with you paint brush. Keep the dark brown to the outside of your gingerbread boy.
Step Two
Once you have your gingerbread boy the way you like it grad your scrufie brush and dip one side of the brush in the dark brown and the other side in the light brown. Once you have your brush set to go, tap the inside of your gingerbread boy to make it look like it was baked. Remember to keep adding paint to your brush.
Step Three
Now it is time to add the “Icing” to your gingerbread boy. You want to use a color that you would usualy see on a gignerbread boy so use a color

like white, or cream. You will also need your dark brown to make a shadow if you wish. Practice making squiggly lines on your scrapt paper untill you feel comfortable to paint it on your card. Paint a squiggly line on the head and on the hands of your gigngerbead boy. To make it eaisier on you, paint the squiggly lines with the brown first if you want to ad the shadows. Then paint the squiggly lines with the white, or cream.
Step Four
Now you need to add your face and buttons to finish him off. You can practice your dots on your scrap paper at fisrt. You can use the tip of your paint brush or you can flip it over and use the end of your brush to get a better circle. You want to use brown, white, and a red paint for these parts of your gignerbread boy. Just as step three you want to paint your brown shadow first. For the face you want the face to be close together to make it look more real and it makes it a little cuter that way too. Once you have your brown dots set you want to paint the white highlights in.
Paint the white dots on every dot except the mouth. With the mouth you want to use your red to make the mouth look like it is open.
Step Five
Your gingerbread boy may look done to you, but adding a little more makes it jsut a little better. If you choose to paint the half gingerbread boy you need to put some embelishments around his bottom half. With this part you can use any colors you want just make sure they have a holiday feel to them. You can paint lines and curves around him, or you can take your scruffie brush and use two colors of green to make it look like a reif. Inside the reif you can ad lightbulbs which are just like the face you painted or you can paint in a saying such as “Happy Holidays”, or “Merry Christmas”.
