Meet some of our experts below, and visit our website to find a full list of our experts, and to read their biographies and accolades shared by our travelers. 1 Franklin Knight is professor emeritus of history at Johns Hopkins University, where he focused on Latin America and Caribbean culture and politics. He has been a visiting lecturer at many universities, and has been featured on NPR, the BBC, and several television programs. Franklin will join Cruising the Caribbean’s Windward Islands—see page 31.

2 An archaeologist who specializes in trade among ancient cultures of the Mediterranean, Al Leonard has directed excavations throughout Europe and the Middle East. He also possesses culinary skills acquired at Le Cordon Bleu and a deep appreciation and knowledge of wine. Al will join our new voyage Ancient Wonders and Culinary Delights: Cruising Southern Italy and Sicily—see page 10.

3 Carola Stearns is a field geologist and geophysicist with over 40 years of experience sharing her fascination with the Earth and how it works. Her diverse experience includes working with archaeologists, teaching at universities, and as lecturing as a park ranger. Carola will join A Voyage Along the Great Lakes—see page 28.

4 Miriam Davis is an expert in medieval history and archaeology. She has participated in archaeological excavations in England and Scotland, and has written for the popular press on archaeology, history, and travel. Miriam will join Celtic Voyage: The Hebrides and the Irish Sea—see page 20, as well as our Scottish Isles and Norwegian Fjords Voyage—see page 18.

5 A writer and lecturer who spent much of his career as a foreign correspondent, Adam Tanner has long studied the impact of colonialism, economic engagement, and globalization. Adam will join Cruising the Dalmatian Coast and the Ionian Sea—see page 15, as well as our new voyage Ancient Civilizations by Sea: Israel, Egypt, Cyprus, Greece, and Turkey—see page 26.
