Experience the World by Sea

Already this year, our travelers have sailed into fabled ports from Muscat, Oman to Palermo, Sicily, on some of our new voyages aboard the PONANT fleet. They have met researchers at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama, sampled rum in Barbados, and ventured to prehistoric sites in the Scottish Isles. With more than 20 itineraries in our portfolio, these small-ship expedition cruises are taking us far and wide and offering plenty of opportunities for enriching exploration—be it cooking classes or architecture tours, naturalist-led hikes or visits with local artisans. Having two Smithsonian Journeys Experts accompany each trip makes for a rewarding exchange of perspectives and knowledge. There is much more in store for 2024: we’ll discover historic and natural treasures along the coast of Japan, trace ancient civilizations from Israel and Egypt to Greece, and venture into Alaska’s Inside Passage. We hope to set sail with you soon!
