Immerse yourself in the worlds of Mozart and Wagner as you explore the classical music capitals of Munich, Salzburg, and Vienna on a journey that features a host of concerts and performances as well as cooking classes and private tours.

Days 1 & 2 – Munich, Germany

Fly into the Bavarian capital of Munich, and transfer to your hotel. The next morning, meet a private guide for a tour of the Alstadt, or Old Town. Stroll through the Marienplatz, the city’s main square, and see the famous Glockenspiel. Later, head to Munich National Theater, home to the Bavarian State Opera, for an evening concert, then peek behind the curtain on a private backstage tour.

Day 3 – Munich

Join a local baker to learn how to make one of Munich’s most famous specialties: soft pretzels. Then enjoy another afternoon at leisure to explore Munich on your own.

Days 4 & 5 – Salzburg, Austria

A short rail journey brings you to Salzburg this morning. Settle in to a family-owned boutique hotel and take the afternoon to get to know the city. The next day, meet your private guide for a Mozart-themed walking tour through Salzburg’s historic center that includes a visit to his childhood home. Tonight, dine on Austrian cuisine during a dinner concert, listening to singers perform arias and duets from some of Mozart’s best-known operas.

Day 6 – Salzburg

Try your hand at making apfelstrudel and a classic Austrian dish at a cooking class, and enjoy your creations for lunch. After free time in the afternoon, attend a concert of classical music in the 900-year-old fortress Hohensalzburg, overlooking the city.

Day 7 – Vienna

Travel by train to Vienna, a capital of classical music since the 1700s. Set off in a horsedrawn carriage to explore the city’s culinary traditions, stopping in various eateries.

Day 8 – Vienna

Embark on walking tour with your private guide, visiting the Belvedere and Hofburg Palaces and the extraordinary Imperial Treasury. Later, meet a private instructor for an introduction to the Viennese waltz.

Days 9 & 10 – Vienna

Pay a special visit to the Hofburg Chapel for mass featuring the world-renowned Vienna Boys Choir. Enjoy a final day to discover Vienna on your own before capping off your journey with a concert at the Vienna Opera House. Return home the following day.
