INTRODUCTION INNOVATION Researching Ground-Breaking Ideas The differences lies in doing things differently At Pidilite, we are always in motion, looking for the next opportunity to turn into a different idea. We search for new ideas in everything we do, and more than two thirds of our sales happen through in-house innovation. We have three fully-equipped in-house R&D centres in India and five state-of-the-art technical research and innovation centres in Singapore, Thailand, Brazil, Dubai and USA. Over 150 professionals use a customer-focused innovation process to bring to fruition the learnings from these interactions. This is why Fevicol, Fevikwik, M-Seal and Dr. Fixit are not just market leaders, but also names that have become synonymous with the product category. We develop most of our products in-house with the help of a strong, research-driven innovation overlaid with consumer insights. A well-equipped and well-staffed R&D centre continuously develops and enhances products for consumers, craftsmen and industries. Pidilite also established a state-of-the-art research centre in Singapore that is now a member of Singapore Chemical Industry Council (SCIC).

COMMUNITY INITIATIVES Making A Difference We ensure that our communities prosper by creating better opportunities. Every year, we dedicate hundreds of man-hours to identify the needs of the communities around us, and fill in the gap with our efforts. We not only create employment opportunities for the locals around our manufacturing facility, but also take steps to improve their health and lifestyle through several initiatives in medical aid, agriculture, horticulture, water management, animal husbandry and education.
EDUCATION INITIATIVES Shri Balvant Parekh Science City Shri Balvant Parekh Science City was founded by Pidlite at Bhavnagar. Replete with facilities like conference hall, computer unit, physics laboratory and library, this Science City uses novel methods to generate interest among students and helps develop analytical skills among them. Mahuva Education Trust The company supports Shree Mahuva Education Trust which runs arts, science, commerce and information technology and business administration classes for students. Over 1500 students enrol in this Trust every year. Kalsar Girls Education Kalsar village in Bhavnagar had limited educational facilities for young girls which forced them to drop out after the seventh grade despite wanting to continue. Arrangements are made to now ensure these girls can pursue their education until matriculation.

RURAL DEVELOPMENT Agriculture & Horticulture The company has made arrangements / signed MOUs with various institutes and expert organizations, for providing technical inputs to the farmers. For the important crops of the region such as cotton, onion, groundnut, coconut, etc., these tie-ups have helped the farmers to adopt the modern package of practices for working towards reducing input costs and increasing yields of these crops. Water Management The company has supported activities for conservation of water and eďŹƒcient usage of water soluble fertilizers. A total of 512 hectares of farm land were covered under drip irrigation. The company has also continued the well water recharging, to improve the quality of ground water. During the year, 221 wells were recharged across 27 villages of Mahuva Taluka.
HEALTHCARE INITIATIVES Hanumant Hospital Hanumant Hospital is the vision of Pujya Morari Bapu. A modern, state of the art hospital providing superior quality and aordable medical care to the local residents. Our founder chairman Shri B K Parekh had undertaken the responsibility of completing the hospital project and managing it. Free Eye Check up Free eye check-up camps were conducted using mobile ophthalmic vans in 22 schools of Mahuva and surrounding areas, covering 2158 students. These camps were also conducted in 16 villages and via this facility around 190 free cataract surgeries were performed in the hospital.

The foundation of pidilite’s identity begins with the name, and is built by a foundation of three fixed elements.
These are: the Pidilite logo, the Gradient, the Arc.
WHAT IS A LOGO ? A logo is the central visual cue that we all use to identity a brand. it is the symbol of a company’s personality. everywhere the logo shows up, it must act and behave the same way so consumers recognize us and can trust that the relationship they are building is sound and secure.

LOGO CONCEPT Our logo has been created by combining different elements to create our brand identity. pidilite provides us with different compounds that are made up with polymers. Polymers are made up of repeated groups of the same atoms. Almost all the products are fluid based except for a few. pidilite industry also makes art and craft products which has been indicated using organic pigment. the combined output is made up of curves to show liquidity and movement. Movement also indicate pidilite’s strive to move forward in every situation.

GLOBAL GUIDELINE / CLEAR SPACE The logo is constructed using three circles and the arcs connecting them. the distance between the two circles is taken as the relative and considered to be. By using this other measurements are given to help construct a uniform logo. the arc under the typography pidilite shows the curve or movement in which it ows.

USABLE BACKGROUNDS FOR THE LOGO When we use the pidilite logo, we must make sure that it is either in pidilite Blue, White or Black, as shown in the pictures. When the logo is in pidilite gradient, the background colors can be White, Grey or Light Blue. When the logo is in White, the background colors can be Blue, Black or Grey. When the logo is in Black, the background colors can be White or Grey.
Gradient signatures To accurately capture the ďŹ ne detail in the gradient globe, never reproduce pidilite gradient signatures less than 3/8" (9.5mm). Solid signatures The solid signatures can be accurately reproduced at smaller sizes than the gradient signatures.The smallest approved solid signature is 1/4" (6.4mm).

SIZE AND PLACEMENT OF THE PIDILITE LOGO Size: The width of the pidilite logo
should be equal to 1/12th diagonal of the layout area, subject to a minimum size of 3 cms. For most layouts, the logo can be placed either on the top right or the bottom right. However, for layouts such as lengthy e-mailers where the complete space is not visible without scrolling, the logo must be placed at the top right corner only. Place the pidilite logo in accordance with its clear space guidelines.

PRIMARY COLOUR PALETTE A palette of primary colors has been developed, which comprise the “One Voice” color scheme. Consistent use of these colors will contribute to the cohesive and harmonious look of the pidilite brand identity across all relevant media. Color is one of the simplest and most powerful tools available to a graphic artist. Therefore, we must attempt to use the primary colors as much and as consistently as possible through all forms of communication. This gradient colour for our logo. Blue is cool. Blue is dignified. Blue is truthful. Blue can be trusted and Blue signifies technology and Red is often associated with the heat of sun and fire and is considered a high-arousal colour which signifies power, energy, passion.
