RESIDENTIAL ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROGRAM The Efficiency New Brunswick’s Residential Energy Efficiency Program offers incentives to homeowners who purchase advanced solid-fuel burning appliances to make their homes more energy efficient. Appliances purchased must meet certain requirements. Those requirements can be summarized as follows: APPLIANCE TYPE Freestanding wood stoves Wood fireplace inserts Zero-clearance wood fireplaces Freestanding pellet stoves Wood furnaces Pellet furnaces

Program deadline: Although the program is intended to be permanent, it is suggested that you register sooner than later in order to start saving money. Some conditions must be met, such as the need to have a Pre-Upgrade Assessment performed by an accredited Efficiency NB Service Provider. This service is not free, but its cost is minimal in relation to the long-term energy savings that you can expect.
