December 5 2:00 - 5:00 pm At the Twelve Days of Christmas Experience at Smoke Rise, we will move from preparing something that can be unwrapped in seconds to preparing ourselves and our hearts for a celebration that befits the coming of the Christ-child. We will do this through hands-on experiences, sights, sounds and by creating take-home pieces that can help you build an observance in your home that will celebrate the Christ-child from Christmas Day through Epiphany and beyond.

Holiday Showcase

Come on out December 11th for the Academy of Art’s Holiday Showcase. The doors will open at 1:00 pm in the fellowship hall. We have displays and performances from teachers and students from every department. We hope you can make it!

Publication Update

We are so excited to announce our new weekly publication, The Tie that Binds. This new publication will include the Order of Worship, the prayer list, and church announcements. It will provide more space, so that you can see everything happening in the life of our church in one place. CrossTie is getting an update as well! Our monthly newsletter is becoming a quarterly 24-page magazine. We hope to share the story of our church and bring us closer together as a community. Look for the winter issue in your mailbox this December!

Can you help Lilburn Co-op?

Lilburn Co-op needs volunteers to work in the food pantry as well as to sort clothing and other household donations. Volunteers are needed on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10am to 2pm for the food pantry and any time from 9am to 7pm for sorting. Volunteers are also needed on Tuesday and Thursday to answer the telephone. Volunteers willing to help with lawn care are welcome any time.

Christmas Breakfast

We are looking forward to having everyone back for this years’ Christmas breakfast! Breakfast will be before Sunday school on December 19th in the fellowship hall. This will be a wonderful time of fellowship during the exciting Advent season.

Thank you for helping our neighbors!

The Thanksgiving Basket Project was a huge success!! Members of the congregation generously gave donations such that not only did we meet our target of 150 baskets to be given out to the community, but we had enough to put additional food on the Co-op pantry shelves!! Thank you for your gifts and your time to ‘stuff ’ the baskets!!!
