Lilburns Co-op Pantry Needs are:

Crackers (Saltine & Ritz), Instant potatoes, Ramen noodles, Granola and fruit bars, Multi-bag of small bags of chips, Canned chili, Canned beef stew, Canned chicken and dumplings, Canned salmon, Bar soap, and Laundry detergent (powdered). In addition, the Lilburn Co-op needs ground beef and hot dogs, but please take those items directly to the co-op.

December 5 2:00 - 5:00 pm At the Twelve Days of Christmas Experience at Smoke Rise, we will move from preparing something that can be unwrapped in seconds to preparing ourselves and our hearts for a celebration that befits the coming of the Christ-child. We will do this through hands-on experiences, sights, sounds and by creating take-home pieces that can help you build an observance in your home that will celebrate the Christ-child from Christmas Day through Epiphany and beyond.

Holiday Showcase

Come on out December 11th for the Academy of Art’s Holiday Showcase. The doors will open at 1:00 pm in the fellowship hall. We have displays and performances from teachers and students from every department. We hope you can make it!

Friends of Refugees Christmas Store 2021

Partner with Friends of Refugees, one of our mission partnerships, and be a part of this amazing event for Christmas 2021! Working with the PTA at Indian Creek Elementary School in Clarkston, Friends of Refugees will be providing a Holiday Christmas Store for parents. Smoke Rise Baptist can participate by DONATING NEW COATS AND TOYS that refugee parents can afford to purchase, allowing Moms and Dads to retain the dignity of paying for what they receive and creating a meaningful holiday season for families in Clarkston.*Items must be sent no later than Wednesday, December 8th, by 5pm* Copy and Paste this link for the Amazon wish list. Publication Update

We are so excited to announce our new weekly publication, The Tie that Binds. This new publication will include the Order of Worship, the prayer list, and church announcements. It will provide more space, so that you can see everything happening in the life of our church in one place. CrossTie is getting an update as well! Our monthly newsletter is becoming a quarterly 24-page magazine. We hope to share the story of our church and bring us closer together as a community. Look for the winter issue in your mailbox this December!

Christmas Breakfast

We are looking forward to having everyone back for this years’ Christmas breakfast! Breakfast will be before Sunday school on December 19th in the fellowship hall. This will be a wonderful time of fellowship during the exciting Advent season.

Can you help Lilburn Co-op?

Lilburn Co-op needs volunteers to work in the food pantry as well as to sort clothing and other household donations. Volunteers are needed on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10am to 2pm for the food pantry and any time from 9am to 7pm for sorting. Volunteers are also needed on Tuesday and Thursday to answer the telephone. Volunteers willing to help with lawn care are welcome any time.
