TRAP RESULTS

Times and days the club is open have changed again. See the cover for the new times. Also the Youth Program is back on again on Monday nights. We had a great turnout for the sporting clays tournament last month, 79 entrants. Evidently the long targets were a hit with the shooters from what I heard. Gary Gray led the field with an 88 followed closely by Joe Pinchin with an 87. The skeet shoot had 5 shooters with Saverio Riccobono leading the 12 gauge with a lone 47. Ric Sherman lead the 20 with a lone 45 and Joe Loitz won the doubles with a lone 44. Eight shooters attended the trapshoot. Antonio Spadaro broke a 99 to lead the Singles event with Alez Riera and Dax Demena in Runnersup spots with 95. The Doubles event was won by Dax Demena with a lone 90. No news on Palm Beach. Will call them again soon to see what they say. Trail Glades will have their first trapshoot in several years on Saturday, April 17th. There are some issues with several of the Pat-traps and the clubhouse doesn’t have power. If you plan on attending please email me first to make sure the shoot is going to happen as planned.

We all have ammo issues during these times. Otto and Joe Fordham have ammo. Otto’s number is on page 16 and Joe’s is on page 20. Give them a call. Talked to Joe recently and he told me he has several nice used shotguns for sale. Give both Otto and Joe a call if you’re looking for used or new shotguns or ammo. If you still have problems finding ammo, give me a call. I have other sources who might have supplies. On the cover this month is Reanna Frauens with her hoard of trophies from the Florida State Trapshoot. Reanna showed up on Friday and won the Lady’s Class Doubles then continued on to win the Lady’s Singles, Doubles, Handicap, and High All Around Championships. I don’t have those records, but my guess is, Reanna may be the only shooter to sweep all four championships! Great week spending time with her and her dad Barry. Hope we can do it again next year. For those of you who haven’t heard Dave Kelley is the new manager at South Florida Shooting Club. I finally got my second COVID shot and survived both with no side-effects. Very relieved.
