At the time of publishing, North Cyprus is open for vaccinated adults and all children (vaccinated and not vaccinated). PCR test (done in Malta not before 72 hours) is at the moment required for entry in North Cyprus for adults & children & for the return to Malta only PCR test required for children to be done in North Cyprus 72 hours before arriving in Malta. The PCR done in North Cyprus for unvaccinated children for the return to Malta, costs only around €15. These restrictions are constantly being updated and eased and we will always inform you about the latest regulation in place.

Taking the geographical space of North Cyprus as a whole it can easily be divided into four areas that are the most attractive as holiday destinations. The major resorts of Kyrenia and Famagusta are the most popular, however there are the areas to the west, round Guzelyurt and Lefke, and to the east there is the Karpaz. Kyrenia, a picturesque port is the most popular tourist destination in Northern Cyprus. A Venetian harbour town in the past, it is backed by the dramatic wooded hills of Beşparmak Mountains and the castle that guards the harbour. A short drive to the east of Kyrenia and nestling in the foothills of the mountains is the village of Bellapais. It is here that the most beautiful and serene of all the ancient sites on the whole island is to be found. The Gothic Abbey of Bellapais has stood on a
rocky promontory since the 12th century BC and apart from the ravages wrought by time and man, it has changed very little. To the east and west of the town there are some of the finest beaches for sand lover, some which are well developed cosmopolitan venues with good restaurants and water sports, others which are more peaceful and remote. It will depend on what each individual tourist is looking for, though one thing in summer is guaranteed, the waters of the Mediterranean will be warm and crystal clear no matter which beach you explore. The location is in Iskele area, 15 km to the Famagusta city centre. Located on the east coast of North Cyprus, Famagusta is known for its preserved 15th and 16th century Venetian walls surrounding the old city. There are plenty of medieval and renaissance buildings that can be visited, most of which damaged during the Turkish siege of the city in 1571. When strolling around the old town, one can admire something of interest in almost every corner. The southern part of the modern city (internationally known as Varosha) has been closed to public following the international division in the last century.
