Vilnius (2), Riga (2), Cruise (Tallinn-Stockholm-Tallinn) & Helsinki (1) DAY 1 VILNIUS Meeting at Vilnius International Airport Terminal. Private transfer to the hotel for check-in. Enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure & overnight. DAY 2 VILNIUS Breakfast at the hotel. A private vehicle will be in attandance taking you for a panoramic tour of the city. There are more than 1200 medieval buildings and 48 large churches in Vilnius. The city of Vilnius was founded by the Grand Duke Gediminas in 1323. During the tour (included), you will see Cathedral Square, Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Tower, Gediminas Statue & St. Peter and St. Paul's Church. After visiting St. Anne's Church and Amber Gallery, you will head to Subacius Hill for a panoramic view of the city. Your tour is not complete unless you visit the Dawn Gate, which is considered an important symbol of Vilnius. Return to the hotel and overnight. DAY 3 RIGA In the morning, after breakfast and room check out, you will depart on a 3.5 hours journey through the Lithuanian and Latvian forests to Riga, the capital of Latvia. Hotel check in and some free time to familiarize yourself. You may take the optional Riga City tour. During the tour of Riga, which was founded in 1201, you will get to visit some of the important builings and the the unique architeture around the historical Old Town; St. Peter's Church, Brotherhood of the Blackheads House, Dome Cathedral, Great and Little Guildhalls, St. Jacob's Church, Riga Castle, and the Freedom Monument. Free time after city tour. Overnight at our hotel. DAY 4 RIGA After breakfast, you will have some free time for shopping and personal sightseeing. Alternatively you may join the optional excursion to Sigulda, one of the most beautiful cities in Latvia situated 51 km away from Riga. During today’s excursion you will visit Sigulda Castle, Gauja National Park, Gutman Cave, Turaida Castle and Museum. Walking amongst the castles of Sigulda you will feel like you are living during the Medieval times. The lush trees, plains and magnificent nature of the Gauja River will fascinate you. After the tour, you will return to Riga. There will be an opportunity to join an option tour of Jurmala. Located on the Baltic Sea coast of Latvia, Jurmala is Latvia's summer resort with its white beaches and romantic tree houses in the forest. The clean pine-scented air, serene atmosphere, healing waters, mud cures, and the most famous SPA hotels of the Baltic States, make Jurmala a rehabilitation center for both locals and tourists. Enjoy some free time at the cute cafes along the promenade. After the tour you return to the hotel & overnight. DAY 5 RIGA – TALLINN (SILJA LINE CRUISE) Following hotel check out and breakfast, a private vehicle will take you to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. The 3 hour journey through the forests of Estonia and Latvia will take you to Tallinn port for check in. Embarkation and cabin assignment. Enjoy some free time to relax and experience the ship.
Today you may join the optional excursion of Tallinn City. To reach within the walls of Old Town, considered to be one of the oldest and best feared settlements in Europe, you will pass through the rural areas. During this tour, you will see Kadriorg Park, where the traditional Music Festival is held, Kadriorg Palace built by Peter the Great for his beloved Tsarina Catherine I, and Pirita Marina, built for the Moscow Olympics sea sports competitions. Free time a the Old Town is allocated for you to be able to visit some other important sites such as the Parliament, Hermann Tower and the Russian Orthodox Church, or enjoy some shopping at the markets, famous for the unique linen textiles or simply enjoy a coffee with the locals. Ship will depart at 17:00 hrs. Overnight on board. DAY 6 STOCKHOLM (SILJA LINE CRUISE) Arrival in Stockholm at 0900hrs. Stockholm is the capital and largest city of Sweden, nicknamed "Beauty on the Water" and also known as ‘Venice of the North’. The city is built over 14 islands connected by 57 bridges, surrounded by Lake Maralen and the Baltic Sea. Enjoy a glimpse of this remarkable city consisting of the old part (Gamla Stan) from the 13th century and the hi tech metropolis with its futuristic skyscrapers and a bustling commercial heart. Should you wish, you can join the optional excursion to Stockholm City & Vasa Museum. After wandering between the Royal Palace, the Cathedral and the old city of Gamla Stan's Stroget Square and its surrounding authentic streets, the Parliament, the Town Hall and the Cultural Park, you will visit the Vasa museum, which houses the magnificent warship Vasa, that sank during its first voyage in the 17th century. You will have some free time to wander around the boulevards full of dazzling shop windows, shopping or enjoying the sun with the Swedes at the cafes in the King's Gardens. Return to the port after the tour. The ship will leave the port at 17:00hrs. Overnight on board. DAY 7 TALLINN – HELSINKI (SILJA LINE CRUISE) Arrival in Tallinn at 0900hrs. After breakfast and disembarkation, you will take a ferry to Helsinki. Upon your arrival at Helsinki port, a private vehicle will be in attendance to take you to your hotel. Check-in, settling in the rooms and free time for familiarization. Those who wish may join the optional excursion to Porvoo Town & Helsinki City with a local guide. Your tour starts with Porvoo, one of the most beautiful towns, located on the southern coast of Finland, about 50 kilometers east of Helsinki. Porvoo is one of six medieval towns in Finland. It offers a fairy-tale visual feast with its cobblestone streets and wooden houses unique to the north. On your return to Helsinki you will stop for a photo at the port, before heading to the city center, which is a mixture of old and new, east and west. Senate Square, Rock Church, City Council, Presidential Palace, Olympic Stadium, Opera House, Parliament Building, Sibelius Park and Esplanades, the most famous shopping street, are amongst the places you will see during the tour. Return to your hotel and overnight. DAY 8 HELSINKI After breakfast, check out from the hotel, and transfer to Helsinki airport for your return flight.
