Monday 6th June CAPPADOCIA-IHLARA VALLEY-MELENDIZNARLIGOL CRATER LAKE-KAYMAKLI After breakfast at the hotel, departure to the Ihlara Valley, which is one of the must-see places on the Cappadocia Tour. At Ihlara Valley, where some people still live today, you will find nature and history intertwined, with 105 churches and the Melendiz Stream flowing through it. After visiting the Ağaçalti Church with your informative guide, take a walk in the river bed created by the Melendi̇z Stream. During lunch (not included), feel the breeze of the ice-cold water by the Melendi̇z Stream in Beli̇sirma Villag, where Greeks and Turks lived together in history. In the shade of the trees, you will be amazed by the sounds of nature. Sip a turkish tea in this unforgettable valley, before you continue your tour to Narligöl Crater Lake. Visitors are fascinated with the natural and impressive views that this 70m-deep lake, formed as a result of volcanic erruptions has to offer. After you enter the Kaymakli Underground City, the biggest and deepest underground settlement in the region. The city was built 7 floors underground, of which only 15% is open to visitors
through narrow tunnels. Visit the social living areas such as churches, chapels, wine houses, food warehouses and kitchens, whilst listening to the narrations of your guide. After this fascinating environment, stop by Onyx Workshops. You will witness how the precious onyx stone, which is mined in the Cappadocia Region, is shaped in the hands of the master craftsmen. You can shop in these workshops, where stones brought from different parts of the world are also processed and turned into precious jewellery. Tuesday 7th June CAPPADOCIA-GOREME-UCHISAR-GUVERCINLIK VALLEY- PASABAGLARI Breakfast at the hotel. Today you shall visit the Goreme Open-Air Museum, carved in volcanic rock, it houses spectecular Rock Churches. Visit the Monastery of Monks, Nuns’ Monastery, Basil’s Church, Barbara Chapel, Yılanlı Church, Çarıklı Church, Dining Hall and Cellar. Take a photo break at Manzara Tepesi, for the most beautiful view of Cappadocia. You continue your tour to Uçhi̇sar Castle, which is the highest point of the region and the Güverci̇nli̇k Valley. Take pictures in Paşabağlari, where the dense Peri Chimneys are located, and take a short walk to see the retreats carved into the rocks. In addition, the Three Beautiful Fairy Chimneys, the symbol of Cappadocia, are among other places to see. After immortalizing these beauties with photographs, stop by the Turasan Wine Factory, one of the biggest wine factories of Turkey, where production has been made in the region for about 4000 years. Time for some shopping. Then you move to the centre of Ürgup and visit the mansion where the
TV series Asmali Konak was filmed, which has a significant contribution to the promotion of the region and can also be seen by taking the great mansions of ÜRGUP as an example. At the end of your tour, you return to your hotel, dinner and overnight in Cappadocia Wednesday 8th June OPTIONAL BALLOON TOUR-CAPPADOCIASINASOS-PIGEON VALLEY-ORTAHISAR- KUSADASI After breakfast, you visit the old Greek village of Sinasos. Later you will stop at Pigeon Valley for a panoramic view before proceeding to Ortahisar, another authentic town with its stone houses and fairy chimneys. After lunch you will be transferred to the airport for your flıght to Izmir with PC3191 departing at 18:00 arriving Izmir at 19:30. Transfer to Hotel, dinner and overnight in Kusadasi Accommodation: Kuşadası Signature Hotel Optional Balloon Tour (duration 3 hours - to be prebooked and not included in price): Departure from Hotel at 04:45. Enjoy the lunar landscape of Cappadocia during your hot-air balloon ride. You will take in panoramic views of the fairy chimneys and rock formations. Thursday 9th June KUSADASI - EPHESUS-ST JOHN - VIRGIN MARY HOUSE - SELCUK After the breakfast at the Hotel, you will drive to Selçuk. Friday 10th June KUSADASI- PAMUKKALE – DENIZLI - ISTANBUL After breakfast and check out, you will depart to Pamukkale. Today you visit the ancient city of Hierapolis, one of the health centres of the Ancient World, famous for its thermal waters, and the unique natural beauty Pamukkale travertines. After that, you drive to the Denizli Airport to Check-in for flight to Istanbul with TK7321 departing at 19:00. Arrival in Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport at 20:10. Upon arrival transfer to hotel, room assignment and dinner. Later, you may wish to discover the vibrant area of Kadikoy, which is full of life during the night. Saturday 11th June TOPKAPI PALACE-HAGIA SOFIA-BLUE MOSQUE-GRAND BAZAAR - ISTANBUL Following breakfast, you will visit the top highlights and discover the amazing city of Istanbul, including Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque and the famous Grand Bazaar. For sure you will remain breathless after this day of discoveries. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight. Sunday 12th June DOLMABAHCE PALACE - TAKSIM SQUARE - ISTANBUL AIRPORT Breakfast at the hotel followed by room checkout. Today you have a day at leisure for some last minute shopping or sightseeing. If you wish, a transfer to the famous shopping mall at Istanbul Asia side may be organised. Return back to hotel for your transfer to İstanbul Airport to check in for your return flight to Malta, departing at 17:15 arriving in Malta at 18:40
