Open to All Kids!

It’s time to explore! Students of all ages are invited to tap into new passions in science, math, the arts, athletics and ultimately explore the far corners of their brains this summer at St. Margaret’s Episcopal School. The expert faculty of St. Margaret’s will challenge and stretch kids’ minds in an unforgettable, fun-filled summer of innovation, collaboration, trying, tinkering, testing and creating! Choose from a variety of hands-dirty, brain-bursting exploration courses that are right for your child.


Online Registration: March 27 - June 10, www.smes.org/summer Preschool and Kindergarten children are invited to join us for summer days filled with hands-on, minds-on exploration! It’s a safe, nurturing environment that sparks imagination, encourages playful discovery and promotes appropriate development. Each session is theme-based, skill focused, and designed to expand students’ minds and bodies through activities both indoors and outside. All children must be potty trained.

Dress: Clothing should be comfortable, neat, clean and modest. For safety, students should not wear flip-flops or sandals.

................................. Age: Students are eligible for Littlest Learners sessions if they are age 2.9 by June 20, and for Krazy About Kindergarten if they are entering Kindergarten in the 2013-2014 school year.

Sessions Fees and Length Our programs provide a great deal of flexibility for varied interest and needs. All sessions are threehour, week-long and held in the morning and afternoon. We also offer extended daycare and lunch options. You can register for any combination. The choice is yours!

Instructors & Supervision: St. Margaret’s Summer Exploration Camp is directed and overseen daily by onsite, experienced St. Margaret’s faculty and staff. All courses are also taught by St. Margaret’s faculty, each who have received thorough and proper background screening. Student supervision is provided at all times. St. Margaret’s Nurse’s Office, staffed with full-time Registered Nurses, is also open during Summer Exploration Camp.

$325 per week. Sessions: Lunch Bunch: $50 per week, 12:00 – 12:30 p.m. Early Daycare: $75 per week, 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. Late Daycare: $125 per week, 3:30-6:00 p.m. $425, Register for all options above Bundle: in the same week and save $150. May not be combined with financial aid.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up: Parents need to accompany their children into the building daily for sign-in and sign-out. Please park in front of the Early Childhood Center. Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before session start times and pick up within 15 minutes of the session ending.

................................. Lunch Bunch, Drinks and Snacks: Drinks, snack and lunch are not provided. Please pack a snack and a drink for all sessions. In addition, if your student is enrolled in Lunch Bunch, pack a lunch, for a supervised lunch time break between sessions with other children. Extra water will be available for Soccer camp.

................................. Financial Aid: Limited financial assistance is available for current St. Margaret’s students receiving financial aid. For inquiries, please email your child’s information to Melissa Norwood, melissa.norwood@smes.org. If you require financial aid, please do not register until you have received direction from Mrs. Norwood.

Littlest Learners Come for the fun, stay for the learning! All our preschool sessions incorporate language, literature, art, drama, math, science, music, and movement experiences. Our small class sizes with credentialed teachers and assistants ensure that our exciting classes spark the imagination and promote social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language growth. Enjoy a mini kindergarten experience in a kindergarten classroom with a kindergarten teacher! Students will participate in topic-based activities through literature, music, art, and fun! There will be many hands-on manipulative experiences, along with one-on-one teacher interactions. This is a great time for incoming kindergarteners to become more comfortable with the transition from preschool to the big world of kindergarten. AM (9 a.m. -12 p.m.)

Preschool & Kindergarten Camp Offerings

Little Dribblers Soccer Camp* Want to get an early start on developing your soccer skills and meet some new friends? Join Coach Marmelstein and his team for a week of enjoyable introduction to the game of soccer. The emphasis will be on fun, and on learning the basics of soccer in a relaxed non-competitive way. There will be plenty of games, breaks, and good clean fun. Our enthusiastic and experienced staff will make sure that you have a terrific week of learning and growing! We will take a daily snack break to renew our bodies and our spirits with some crazy, fun-filled songs and stories from the Bible that will help us become better soccer players and better people.
