Reunion Weekend
NOVEMBER 7-9, 2024
HOSTED BY Vanderbilt Medical Alumni Association
Greetings, Vanderbilt Medical alumni, faculty, and friends!
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you back to Vanderbilt University School of Medicine (VUSM) for our 2024 Reunion Weekend. We are delighted to host 20 distinguished Doctor of Medicine graduating classes and are honored to have you join us for this special occasion.
I want to extend a warm welcome to alumni and friends of our Master of Genetic Counseling degree program, which is celebrating its 5th anniversary this weekend, and alumni and friends of our Master of Public Health program. Additionally, we welcome members of the (Amos) Christie Pediatric Society and the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP), which are also holding events during the weekend.
This Reunion celebration holds particular significance to our 50-year classes being officially inducted into the Vanderbilt Medical Quinq Society: the classes of 1974 and 1975. The tradition of recognizing the 50-year “Quinq” anniversary dates back to 1947 when the Vanderbilt University Quinq Club was established, and we are privileged to commemorate this milestone with these two remarkable classes.
Another highlight of the weekend is the recognition of our Vanderbilt Medical Alumni Association (VMAA) Distinguished Alumni for 2024: Distinguished Alumna Ann Hutcheson Price, MD ’78, Distinguished Alumnus Major General (Ret.) Steve Jones, MD ’78, and Distinguished Alumnus John L. Tarpley, MD ’70.
We are immensely grateful for this opportunity to gather in Nashville with each of you. We hope you enjoy Reunion and cherish the chance to reconnect with fellow alumni from near and far. We are thrilled that you could “come home.”
Warmest regards,
Sarah Creekmore Woodall, B.A. ’00 Senior Director
Vanderbilt Medical Alumni Association
