• The decking boards are secured to the frame using innovative stainless steel clips instead of screws, so they are never permanently fixed to the structure, resulting in easy inspection of the membrane and cleaning of the downpipes when required
• The qwickbuild frame is very lightweight and is pre-fabricated in our workshop as made-to-measure sections, easily slotted into place once on site, slashing down installation times and making the job a lot easier without risking damaging the membrane
CASE STUDY: QWICKBUILD DECKING FRAME OVER SOIL
Following a visit to Grand Designs Live Exhibition, a customer from Southampton approached us regarding a new build project he was currently undertaking. He required a decking solution to surround two sides of the property and was extremely impressed with our qwickbuild aluminium sub-structure on display. By visiting the show he was able to get a real feel for the product and experience the quality of the system first hand, including the resortdeck composite decking boards. By just utilising the building plans provided by the customers we were able to prepare a detailed quotation for the system together with installation prices and time frame for completion. The project was quickly secured and the design kick started by our in-house team.

Once the design visuals were approved by the customer, a total of 35 square metres of decking sub-structure was pre-fabricated in our workshop in just two weeks, then transported to site as made-to-measure sections ready for easy installation. The decking system needed to be incorporated with custom made windows from Germany, which included a slot at the bottom of the frame to secure the decking boards for a seamless finish to the walkway. Using the adjustable jacks we were able to make sure the level of the deck was extremely accurate to match the bottom of the windows, even though the ground was uneven. When it came to slotting the composite decking boards into place, the job was easy and fast to complete thanks to the support of the aluminium frame and the intelligent stainless steel fasteners used to secure the boards to the structure, eliminating the need for time-consuming traditional fixing methods. During this installation our team took extra care in making sure every detail was not overlooked, spending time to fit the decking structure around a number of visible drains, creating a tidy and smooth finish the client desired. The whole project was installed in just three days on site and compliment the high quality standards of this new build perfectly.
CASE STUDY: GARDEN DESIGN A local customer came to us looking for a complete outdoor solution for her spacious garden in Manchester. The client had started the construction of a new kitchen and dining room extension to the back of the property. They were looking to create an outdoor space that would expand on the extension and allow easy access to the large garden. We arranged a site visit and met with the client and their builder, where we discussed their design ideas and what solutions we could offer. The client wanted two areas creating, one outside their large bi-folding doors leading to a secure balcony overlooking the garden, and a lower area to the side of the property leading down to the garden. “ Our products have built a reputation in the market for simplicity and ease of use which allowed us to complete the project quickly as all parts were manufactured and preassembled in our UK workshop to strict quality assured standards, then transported to site as madeto-measure kits “
The total area covered was 42 square metres including steps from the garden and up to the property: the steps to the property were designed so they could also be used as a seating area if required. The frameless glass balustrade was manufactured using one of our four standard glazing channels which we secured to a concrete block wall. We worked closely with the builder ensuring the wall was constructed to an exact height to give a seamless look once the glazing channel and decking were installed. The area outside the bi-folding doors was installed and completed within two days, including the toughened glass panels. The lower decking area and steps were a bit more challenging due to the different level we had to work with and the intricate details required to ensure a quality finish once complete. The project has enabled us to demonstrate how seamlessly our balcony solutions work with our decking systems and challenged us in the process to create this state of the art garden design.
CASE STUDY: BALCONY TRANSFORMATION
There is nothing quite like living in the city but still being able to enjoy a stunning view from your balcony. This was exactly what our customer wanted to achieve but their balcony was looking old, tired and in desperate need for a transformation. After speaking to the customer directly we were able to agree upon a suitable budget for the project. Offering a unique design, manufacture and installation service for their chosen designs we created a system to meet all of their specifications. Utilising our revolutionary Qwickbuild aluminium sub-structure it was possible to manufacture the decking sub-frame as made-to-measure sections prior to arriving on site, saving time and money.

Once on site, our installation team were able to remove the existing platform and wood balustrade, install the aluminium frame, decking boards and glass railing in just two days. When combining our Qwickbuild frame with our Resortdeck composite decking no visible screws or fixings are used to secure the boards, instead hidden stainless steel fasteners and nylon clip secure the boards in place. By not penetrating the boards the customer has the advantage of being able to access the underside of the deck and relay boards without causing any damage or visual disruption. This project totalled at 13 sq metres and was finished with our side mounted frameless glass balustrade using a 15mm clear toughened glass. The aluminium glazing channel was securely fixed to the qwickbuild sub-structure working together to complete the balcony. By opting for a frameless balustrade our customer was able to embrace the city views ahead without compromising on safety or structural integrity. With our optional stainless steel slotted handrail the system was furnished with a sleek finishing touch.
