Online Education
Online learning has become the norm for many during the pandemic. And as things move towards the ‘new normal’ and face-to-face education opens up, virtual courses are still a great way to develop your knowledge and skills. We spoke to some of the UK’s most inspiring educators about their online offering.

Tell us about the online education you offer?
The HAIRDOTCOM Art Team is made up of experts covering all aspects of being a hairdresser in 2021 — from social media and session work to wigs and wellbeing. The team’s diverse and wide-ranging experience means HAIRDOTCOM at Home can offer one-of-a-kind hairdressing education that’s all about collaboration, not competition.
What skills and techniques do you pass on?
The HAIRDOTCOM Art Team consists of leading hairdressers, stylists, photographers and well-being experts which means we are able to deliver at the highest level, across all areas of the industry. Educators for each course will be hand-picked from the team to showcase their expertise, knowledge and skills and present education that’s fun, insightful and interactive.
For example, our Perfect Session Assistant is a theory and demonstration class. This course is ideal for Level 2 & 3 apprentices, graduates, and young stylists wanting to extend their skill set.
BE Education from Brooks & Brooks

We wanted to offer affordable education that was accessible to all levels. With BE Education we have created an online community where hairdressers can learn, connect and be mentored by the BE educators. Three words to describe BE are approachable, creative and fun, where everybody can join the gang!
BE offer’s three unique packages, which are The BE Mentorship, Colour Club and Style Squad. These packages last up to a month and attendees will be guided by the BE educators and can stay connected throughout.
The BE Mentorship is a great way to start your journey. Through this programme you will be guided by art team members Marlon Hawkins and Grace Dalgleish, covering key focuses of hairdressing including cut and colour, ranging from the commercial to the creative. Plus, a guest artist will join the gang!

Tell us about the online education you offer?
Firstly, I offer free education on my social media. On IGTV and IG Live I often collaborate with other stylists and colourists, creating a look live on screen and talking viewers through the steps. I love these live sessions, they are so informative.
Secondly, I offer education through Hair Co-Operative. This is a new platform I founded during lockdown of 2020, with the aim of offering high-quality educational sessions at an affordable cost. Costs are around £20-£30 per session and we cover cut, colour, and session work and so much more!
What skills and techniques do you pass on?
Throughout all my educational sessions, I make it my goal to help those watching become more confident in the skill or technique they are learning.

Jaymz Marsters
Tell us about the online education you offer?
Currently, I'm delivering all my online education through my subscriptionbased service. Members can sign up to @jaymzmarsters.education on a month-by-month subscription to gain access to a huge pool of knowledge and techniques covering all aspects of colour and social media. Weekly live streams and classes are saved for you to watch back in your own time along with in-depth detailed posts.
What skills and techniques do you pass on?
Most of my education is based on creative colouring, but some stylists don't always realise that before you can deliver a seamless creative colour application you have to have be able to execute natural and lightening techniques. Alongside this you will learn advice on saving time and money in the salon and how to boost your online presence.
