Your winter sports holiday As a winter sports holiday Tour Operator, our main packages include your hotel accommodation, airport transfers – typically by minibus taxi – and, in our more popular resorts, the services of our Resort Managers. To this, we can add flights and pre-bookable ski and snowboard essentials –lift passes, equipment rental and lessons. However, you are more than welcome to source your own flights and we’ll take care of all the other arrangements. Book as much or as little with us as you wish and effectively build your own holiday. In addition to our own holiday packages, we also act as agents for a number of other tour operators giving us access to thousands of weekly flight-inclusive ski holiday packages to most ski resorts across Austria.
Ski and snowboard weekends and short breaks While most of our holiday packages are for seven night stays, outside of the high season we continue to offer flexible weekend breaks to most of our resorts. This is a tailor-made service and, with the right flight times and efficient minibus taxi transfers, we aim to maximise your time on the slopes. For a quote, please contact us with your requirements.
Experienced resort managers We want you to enjoy your holiday to the full and our highly trained, experienced Resort Managers will be on hand in those resorts where you need them most to ensure your holiday runs smoothly from start to finish. They provide all the support and attention you need to make the most of your time on and off the slopes.
Relax – you’re in safe hands: We’ll take care of the detail From your first contact with us you will be in contact with people who have years of ski and snowboard experience, who have an intimate knowledge of the resorts we offer, and who have professionalism and pride in organising your holiday. Please get in touch for holiday advice, availability and reservations and let Snowscape take care of the detail that really does make the difference between a good holiday and a truly great one!

Resort profiles
Enjoying your ski holiday in Austria: Where to go Austria ticks all the boxes when it comes to the all-round winter holiday experience with charming and traditional alpine village resorts, lively après-ski and a great choice of ski and snowboard resorts catering for all levels from beginner to expert. Most of our holidays are still based around the Schneewinkel Area (Snow Corner) which includes Fieberbrunn and St Johann in Tirol, both of which are great for mixed ability groups and weekenders. However, we offer a wide choice of Austrian resorts and, on these pages, you’ll find a snapshot and taster of all of our resorts. For further details including resort fact-files, image galleries, snow reports, piste maps, hotels plus more, click on the ‘Resorts’ page on our website.
FIEBERBRUNN
Small yet perfectly formed, Fieberbrunn is Tirol’s best kept secret and boasts the best snow record in the Kitzbüheler Alps. Fieberbrunn is our second home, our most popular resort and is ideal for short ski breaks, ski weekends and families. The resort offers great skiing locally and on the Schneewinkel area (170 kilometres of piste) and is ideal for beginners and intermediates. There is also some fantastic expert, off-piste skiing with Austria’s only Big Mountain competition (and Freeride World Qualifier event) held here testament to the quality of its backcountry terrain. Families are very well catered for and the resort is perfect for avoiding the half term crowds typical of larger resorts. For a non-commercial, traditional village atmosphere, good après-ski and genuinely friendly locals, look no further than up-and-coming Fieberbrunn. Enjoy it now before the secret gets out!
Also part of the Schneewinkel area (170 kilometres of piste including Fieberbrunn above), the popular resort of St Johann in Tirol is located between the Kitzbüheler Horn and the impressive Wilder Kaiser mountains. It is a small and friendly resort with a good après-ski scene and is a great choice for beginners, intermediates and mixed ability groups.
St JOHANN in TIROL
Salzburg Airport is just one hour away making St Johann an excellent choice for a short break or ski weekend and the resort is ideally located for exploring a number of other nearby ski areas (Kitzbühel, Söll, Ellmau), all of which are covered on the Kitzbüheler Alps lift pass and easily accessible.
KITZBÜHEL
Kitzbühel is a unique, atmospheric town steeped in skiing history and host to the annual, world-famous Hahnenkamm World Cup downhill race. Colourful medieval buildings, archways and cobbled streets full of character and stylish shops make up the pedestrianised resort centre which has an international and vibrant feel and a lively après-ski scene. A much-improved and modern lift system covers over 160 kilometres of piste with challenging skiing and snowboarding for all levels. There is also a connection from the Kitzbuhel ski area to the Ski Welt via the Ki-West lift which links Kirchberg and Westendorf.
Kirchberg is Kitzbühel’s sister resort located just 6 kilometres from Kitzbuhel and offers access to the same ski area as Kitzbuhel (160 km piste), excellent après-ski and all-round better value than Kitzbuhel.
KIRCHBERG
There are two main lifts giving access into the Kitzbuhel ski area from Kirchberg and also a connection from Kirchberg into the Ski Welt area via Westendorf. The Kitzbuheler Alpen pass covers the Kitzbuhel area and Ski Welt area all under one lift pass.

SAALBACH-HINTERGLEMM
Saalbach and the neighbouring resort village of Hinterglemm lie at the centre of the vast ‘Saalbach Ski Circus’ offering fantastic skiing and snowboarding on over 200 kilometres of well-groomed piste. Après-ski at the bottom of the slopes in the middle of Saalbach is very lively and there are some excellent mountain huts and restaurants. The area is best suited to keen intermediate skiers and snowboarders who will relish skiing the circuit in both directions (our favourite is clockwise). Saalbach’s resort centre is compact and traffic free and the majority of its hotels are located here within easy walking distance of the lifts, bars, restaurants, cafés and shops.
Once voted winner of Europe’s prettiest village, the small and unspoilt resort of Westendorf now finds itself at the hub of Austria’s largest skiing area.
WESTENDORF
Skiers have the choice of direct lift access from Westendorf to Austria’s largest inter-connected ski area (Ski Welt) and also into the Kitzbühel ski area via the Ki-West connection to Kirchberg. In total, a combined skiing and snowboarding paradise of no less than 449 kilometres of piste! The resort itself has retained its friendly, informal atmosphere and there is plenty of après-ski to be had in its cosy bars and restaurants.
OBERTAUERN
Lying at an altitude of over 1600 metres, the resort of Obertauern is the highest in the Salzburg province and offers one of Austria’s longest winter seasons with snow-sure slopes and mainly ski in-ski out accommodation. Après-ski is lively and usually kicks off in one of the rustic huts above the resort. The resort forms the centre of a natural snow bowl with north and south-facing slopes and two well-marked clockwise and anti-clockwise circuits. The high altitude ensures great skiing and snowboarding conditions on its 100 kilometres of piste.
With 260 kilometres of piste including Lech, Zürs, Stuben and St Christoph and huge off-piste possibilities, it is easy to see why many rate St Anton as one of the world’s premier resorts.
St ANTON
Add to this some of the most pulsating après-ski in Europe, a great snow record and a traditional Austrian village with a wealth of bars and restaurants and you have a truly world class ski and snowboard destination. Holiday packages are at a premium and the resort is best suited to advanced riders and night owls.
