As Brand and Sales Manager for Fanatic, Craig divides his time between testing, sales, team management and boardbag packer at photoshoots. South African born and bred, a former pro windsurfer who joined Fanatic in 1995, he has been involved in SUP since the humble beginnings of the sport.

Karin is the Head of Marketing for Fanatic. Having joined the brand back in 1999, she has evolved and worked hard to grow the brand as much as she can. Married to Brand Manager Craig, and with kids who are hooked on all kind of watersports too, she lives the job 24 / 7 and is truly ›Addicted to Ride!‹.

Sebastian Wenzel created his own boards already in 1981. Filling the role of designer and shaper for Fanatic back in 1994, he pioneered the premium CAD design process into windsurfing in 2004, whilst every SUP has come from his databank. His creative eye and passion for the sport makes him a fundamental part of the progression and evolution of our products.

Klaas Voget spends as much time possible on the water developing the range, as well as taking care of marketing collateral. Having signed his first rider contract with Fanatic back in 1999, he got involved in the R&D in 2005. After leaving university in 2007, Klaas became a full time pro rider dedicating his passion to the brand, in 2015 he became Marketing Manager.

Dani Aeberli has been »Addicted to Ride« since he was 7 years old. As Fanatic Product Manager, Dani pursued his love of watersports by getting involved in the R&D and technical development with Fanatic years ago. Now, Stand Up Paddling and the creation of new products have become another passion of his, absorbing into his work and lifestyle.

Fanatic shaper Sebastian Wenzel has over a decade of CAD shaping experience, making him a phenomenally accomplished designer. The CAD platform allows for absolute precision when creating a new design, and a database where every board built since 2004 can be stored. Sebastian’s experience, creative flair and successful track record of bringing new concepts to life make him a key player within the Fanatic team.

By using ethically sourced and raw materials where possible for the production, packaging and distribution of our products, we ensure an eco-friendly future for the brand.

Whilst creating new products, our primary goal is to reduce the ecological impact on the environment and use ethically sourced raw materials. Through advances in our construction techniques, significant gains have been made – ranging from the use of ozone-free foam cores, utilising coloured resins vs spray painting / stickers, Smart Package and audited facilities. There is a long way to go before our products are 100 % green / recyclable, we are ready for the challenge ahead to get there, step by step.

Carbon Innegra is a high end technology with perfectly balanced weight, strength and impact resistant characteristics. Carbon rail sections and a complete Hi-tech Carbon bottom layer deliver an impeccable weight: stiffness ratio. The four shapes of the ProWave are based around the needs of our international riders, who are pushing the boundaries of powerful performance surfing with these models. Balanced and easy to paddle, yet super radical once unleashed onto a wave, they offer a responsive ride with quick acceleration, great speeds and lots of drive. The ProWave is made for deep carves and tight arcs in the pocket, but still handles mushy days with ease. Its controlled flow gives you the confidence and comfort even on the biggest days. The ProWave comes with five boxes to give you the choice of either Quad or Thruster Fin setup, which will adapt the board to your style of riding and conditions on the day.

The compact outline concept became one of our favourites back in 2014 when our R&D Team started to develop it. Short in length, the Stubby has a less curved rail line for maximum grip on the wave and through the turns. The much wider nose and tail sections give extra stability, allowing you to ride with less volume and a narrower centre. The surfy rocker line and thin double diamond tail provide fast reactions and flow. For 2017 the Stubby family has grown to four sizes ranging from 7’10” to 8’8”. A high performance board, you’ll appreciate the stability, speed and wave catching abilities, especially when the waves are less than perfect.

The Ripper is an exact copy of our highly respected ProWave shapes. The difference is its High Resistance Skin (HRS) construction and our friendly foam moulded Soft Top that gives great grip and durability, but more importantly protection to a youngsters’ elbows and knees. The Double Layer Light technology is our Premium construction. Featuring a second PVC layer which is welded directly to the core layers and around the V-Drop Stitch material, it forms the heart of each Fanatic Inflatable. An additional third layer of coloured rail-bands round off the highly durable and premium quality, with stylish optics of the deck print. The benefits of the Double Layer Light when compared to the standard Double Layer technology is a 20 – 25 % reduction in weight, and around 25 – 30 % increase in stiffness.

Built to last, our Double Layer (HD) technology is an inflatable construction for heavy duty usage. The triple layer rail construction (Viper Air, Rapid Air, Rapid Air Touring & Tandem Air Premium) ensures better stiffness and durability. For the Ripper Air Windsurf, we use a Double Layer rail construction to save some weight. Stiffness and performance is guaranteed, as the Double Layer HD technology can take more than 20 PSI of air pressure if needed, we recommend 15 PSI.
