Join us at the Outhouse for crafting and party fun! The old skittle alley across the courtyard has been revamped and given a cool 1930’s industrial feel. Its funky utility chic is perfect for workshops, private parties, afternoon tea and suppers of platters and jackets. With pitchers
of wine, tea pots of cocktails or beer served around a refectory table, we can accommodate up to 30 guests. Crafting Hen Party? Big Birthday? Baby Shower? No need for an excuse! Surely the coolest place in town for a gathering!

Local Artist Milli McGregor will teach you how to sketch ideas on paper to decorate your tea light holder. She will show you how to make the images flow like a story or pattern, or design 4 different images for each side. Once the designs are ready you will transfer your image to the handmade ceramic tea light holder and then paint the designs on with ceramic paint. A beautiful addition to your festive table or a wonderful gift to adorn the table of a friend or family member. To include afternoon tea from 1:30-3:00.
You’ll then move on to personalised hand stamping and the art of making an up-cycled ring. If you have a stash of no longer worn jewellery items or broken bits of once loved treasure, feel free to liberate them from the bottom of your jewellery box and bring them along, ready to transform into something spectacular and unique!

Sarah Green, of Birdhouse Studio, will teach you the basics of working with wire and plastics in a three hour workshop. Get ready to create at least two fantastic, ready to wear gifts for yourself or others. To include a break for afternoon tea from 12:30-1:30. Afternoon - Create your own unique Christmas Cards for special friends and loved ones under the guidance of local artist Lucy McLoughlin. You will be using an exciting mix of materials and techniques including embossing, stencilling and block printing. No experience required, just enthusiasm and a festive spirit!

As Christmas approaches why not take a couple of hours out from your busy schedule to come and make your very own bespoke wreath. We will provide you with all the materials plus notes you need, including ribbons, base, dried fruits, pine cones, foliage and feathers. After an initial demonstration on how to make your own wreath, along with lots of other ideas for decorating your home at Christmas, you will have a chance to grab some scissors, a pinny, and create something beautiful of your own. Morning - Local artist Donna Vokes will show you how to experiment with a range of stamp printing techniques to create a unique collection of gift wrapping that is present ready. Learn how to make your own stamps using lino, cutting techniques and found materials. To include a break for afternoon tea from 12:30-1:30. Afternoon - Using lino cutting skills, Donna Vokes will teach you how to design a block print to use to create a unique tote bag. If you are not confident in drawing DON’T PANIC! You will be provided with images that can be traced and transferred. Not all great designers are great at drawing you know! All materials supplied.
