Julie Stafford Sports NSW
“Julie Stafford from Sports NSW is coming to an end to the Governance Training for NSW Regional Committees. Julie loved visiting our regions and says “The work , commitment and dedication that your volunteers all display never ceases to
iimpress me. I was warmly l welcomed and feel that each volunteer group found the workshops to be very useful. In some cases, they were merely a reminder of what good things they are already doing, in other cases – a good starting reference point”. As Education Manager with the NSW Sports Federation, Julie meets with lots or sports organisations. With regard to Special Olympics, she felt that our diverse volunteer regions all valued SOA investing in some training for them and they all expressed an inter-
estt iin future workshops. f t kh She said “it is certainly more advantageous to go to each Region to address their particular issues , rather than get a few delegates coming to Sydney”. Julie also commented that regions appreciated “the ‘personal’ visits by Neville and Andrew as they felt far more connected with the State Office.” If you would like to suggest future training sessions for your region, please contact either Neville Bajzath or Andrew Sadleir.”
