Soave Enterprises Industrial Services Company Renews Key Contracts with GM Soave Enterprises celebrates ongoing success and exceptional customer satisfaction at its affiliate company, MPS Group. Soave Enterprises is proud to announce that its affiliate, MPS Group, has earned two five year contracts with General Motors (GM) for 2013. As a result, Soave employees at MPS Group are standing a little taller these days, and working harder than ever to continue to build their reputation for service excellence. In August of last year, MPS began providing Resource Management (RM) services to multiple GM facilities throughout Indiana including Fort Wayne Assembly, Castleton Engineering, and Marion Metal Center. Just two months later, MPS launched RM at the Fairfax Plant in Kansas City, Missouri. These new five year contracts are under a Tier II Service Agreement with Caravan Facilities Management, LLC. “We hit the ground running,” says Bill Smedley, Regional Manager of the Indiana facilities. “It was important to have a seamless transition from the incumbent provider and we were eager to showcase MPS’ high quality of work and our strong focus on customer satisfaction.”
RM is a broad term at the Soave Enterprises company that includes activities such as maintaining Zero Landfill status, environmental compliance, optimizing plastic and other recycling programs through better source segregation and visual management, maintaining waste profiles, record keeping, and tracking progress through a RM Supplier scorecard. Another feather in Soave Enterprises’ cap for 2012 was MPS being awarded Total Paint Booth Management contracts for GM’s Fort Wayne and Fairfax Assembly plants as a Tier II Supplier as well through Caravan. Objectives for the contracts include increasing the booth’s operating performance at an overall reduced cost and providing improved quality. The project provides a single point for accountability for major support processes that affect the spray booth environment. MPS teamed with Abednego Environmental Services, LLC to perform this service. John Bowden, Senior Project Manager with over 25 years of experience, relocated to Indiana to manage the scope of services set forth. “This contract has given MPS the opportunity to shine,” says Bowden. “Not only are both customers pleased with our work, but we have brought new management techniques to the table that make us more efficient and cost-effective than our competitors.” Besides gaining new business, MPS has maintained current contracts with GM. By being a preferred service provider, GM’s Hamtramck Assembly Plant, Customer Care
Aftermarket facilities (CCAs) and the Warren Technical Center all remain part of MPS’ portfolio. All of these 2012 successes have filtered through into 2013. Everyone continues to work hard and responds to the daily requests of our customers. “It’s what we do best,” comments Smedley. Soave Enterprises continues to support the high-level efforts at MPS Group by providing the resources, capital, and training necessary to increase customer satisfaction and performance results.
