Welcome Kellin Enslev!

The Saskatchewan Soccer Association is happy to introduce Kellin Enslev as the new Coordinator of Competitions. Kellin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the areas of events management, competitions development, and partnership growth. His areas of responsibility will include Provincial Championships delivery, tournament sanctioning, SSA events development and management, and partnership development. TEAM SASKATCHEWAN CANADA GAMES ROUND UP

After two weeks of fierce competition at the 2022 Canada Games, both Team Sask squads are returning with many fond memories and experiences from the games. Male Squad: After facing Northwest Territories (W 3-1) and Ontario (L 0-3), the team would face Manitoba in the Qualification round of play. The team battled hard to a 3-1 victory and faced off versus British Columbia for 5th place in the country. British Columbia would come away the victor that match with a 5-1 score. Team Sask would finish their trip with a 6th place finish, competition high scoring honours for Malik Darbi (Regina,SK), and a lot of pride as a team. Female Squad: Team Sask would face some stiff western competition in their first round of play, dueling with Alberta (L 0-8) and Manitoba (L 0-4) and was slotted to play versus Yukon and Newfoundland in the placement round. The squad would come away victorious versus Yukon (W 5-1) and would push Newfoundland to penalty kicks with two late goals. The team were unable to capitalize and lost in PK’s 2-0. The squad would finish 10th in the competition. Officials: Six officials from the province were appointed to matches over the two-week event. Tip of the hat to Ian Adams, Mattias Diederichsen, Theo Diederichsen, Vincent Morelli, Nicole Rapin, and Shukwia Tajik.
