Nova Scotia News
The club is announcing the departure of David Hannah effective today, August 29th, 2022. David Hannah, Technical Director It’s with a great deal of sadness that we are announcing my departure from the Halifax Dunbrack Soccer Club. I wanted to thank the HDSC Board for their understanding by allowing me to go back home to Scotland to support my family. I want to put on the record that the soccer club has significantly taken positive strides forward in the right direction and without the Board willingness to change we wouldn’t be in the fantastic position we are today. Furthermore, I would like to give a great deal of credit to the head coaches, assistant coaches, team mangers and the many volunteers who have adapted to the changes. The biggest challenge was and still is, trying to change the old culture of how the soccer club was run and developing a new culture that has everyone on the same pathway, which is vitally important for continued growth and development. It’s been a fantastic journey for us all and my hope is the club will continue this pathway of change. Many thanks to you all for the hard work and dedication that you all do on a day-to-day basis.
Jonathan Hammond, President I’d like to place on record my thanks to David for the work he has done over the last 12 months. He has implemented many changes to our programming both for coaches and players. Introducing a world class system in Sports Session Planner for coaches to build and share sessions as well as redesigning our Skill Centre Program to meet elevated standards of player development to name a few. We wish David all the best in his future endeavors and look forward to him sporting a Dunbrack shirt back home in Dundee supporting all our teams away at Nationals! All programming will remain unchanged as we prepare for the 2022-23 Winter season. The club will begin the search for a new Technical Director immediately and will have an announcement in due time.
