The Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce and the RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce held a networking opportunity for their members. The Joint Member Mixer took place at the Mission Food Park on Thursday, March 25, 2021. Both organizations were excited to safely offer the opportunity for members to come together and network.

Can I vote for Mayor, City Commission, Debbie Crane Aliseda, PUB and propositions all at the same location?

YES. There is a voting machine for City elections and there is a different voting machine for McAllen ISD elections all within the same space/location.

Who can VOTE for Place 3 in McAllen ISD race?

You… “Place 3” is simply a place holder. Unlike City Commission where voters are limited to a small geographical district, if you reside within the city of McAllen’s school district boundary, you vote for school board. School Board has “place” holders solely for identifying which Trustee is up for election each cycle. One election cycle it is Place 1, 2, 4 and then the next election cycle it is Place 3, 6, and 7.

Who can I call to see if I live within McAllen ISD boundary?

MISD Elections Department, John Wilde (956) 618-6031. The city of McAllen’s school district boundary even includes parts of Edinburg and Pharr. In McAllen, the boundary stretches North to Hobbs/Oxford, South to Durango Ave., East to Bentsen Rd .and West to Cynthia St.
