On March 21st, the Rio Grande Valley Diabetes Association hosted its Celebrity Waiter event at the Krysta Event Center in Mission. Eleven participants took on the role of Celebrity Waiters. Each waiter teamed up with a professional to serve 16 special guests at their tables. Competing to raise the most in tips, the top three Celebrity Waiters, Erica Elizondo, Dr. Luis Khit, and Judge Fernando Mancias, were honored with recognition plaques. The event also celebrated Agoberto Gonzalez as the “Most Entertaining Celebrity Waiter,” making it a memorable evening in the fight against diabetes.
