The Young Friends of Save Venice, led by the chair of the Young Friends Steering Committee, Lizzie Asher, along with the host, Mercedes de Guardiola, held a dinner party to support important restorations of masterworks of Venetian art and architecture, aboard the iconic yacht HIGHLANDER as part of Save Venice’s global initiative, 50 Celebrations for 50 Years. American Humane hosted a special clambake, Dogs on the Dunes, to honor the brave heroes on both ends of the leash. The sold-out event was a tremendous success with many invited guests bringing their own dogs, which only added to the fun evening. The evening was highlighted by speeches from Dr. Robin Ganzert, American Humane’s president & CEO and the philanthropist and American Humane board member Jean Shafiroff.
