The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF) proudly presented SO FETCH, a beach party fundraiser. Hosted by Georgina Bloomberg, Katie McEntee, Kingsley Crawford, Nathania Nisonson, Elizabeth Shafiroff, Merritt Piro, Elizabeth Bowden, and Olivia Mulvey. WALTER STERNLIEB’S A IS FOR ART OPENS IN SOUTHAMPTON
Southampton is now home to A is for Art. Modern American artist and designer Walter Sternlieb has opened the Hamptons hottest new gallery, now part of the village’s strong legacy with backing of curated collaborations in the community. KATIE COURIC RACE OF HOPE
Audrey Gruss’s Hope for Depression Research Foundation’s sixth annual 5K Race of Hope in the Village of Southampton attracted 600 runners and walkers from across the country. Katie Couric greeted the crowd before the 3.1-mile course and said, “Mental health is such a critically important issue, and it’s heartening to see it come out of the woodwork.” The race raised a record-breaking $325,000 for depression research and treatment. raceofhopeseries.com

Gallerist Tatyana Okshteyn opened the Black & White Gallery / Project Space in Southampton with two figurative and abstract exhibitions by her late husband, the renowned East End artist Shimon Okshteyn. They are titled Natural Landscape and Still-Lifes, both influenced by his life in the Hamptons. “The new gallery space both indoors and outdoors, will be a place of peace and perseverance, of creativity infused from nature,” said Tatyana.

PETER ALONSO CHARLES FAZZINO: 9/11
Carlton Fine Arts hosted a reception for Charles Fazzino’s new artwork memorializing the 20th anniversary of 9/11. The NY Mets star Peter Alonso unveiled 9/11: A Time of Remembrance at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum; it was then shown at the gallery alongside the 3-D pop artist’s signature pieces. Charles Fazzino’s exhibition at Carlton Fine Arts is at 543 Madison Avenue through September 23.
