OUR PROGRAMS
MSW Day Program
This full-time, two-year, on-campus MSW Day Program combines classroom learning with faculty-guided fieldwork. Classes are held on weekdays.
MSW Advanced Standing Program
Our full and part-time on-campus Advanced Standing Programs are for applicants with an undergraduate degree in social work or social welfare.
MSW Extended Degree Program (EDP)
The EDP offers a part-time option for working professionals, with both an on-campus evening program, and a hybrid program.
CHECK YOUR ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
n Four-year baccalaureate degree (some exceptions apply)
• must be in social work/welfare for Advanced Standing Program
• may be in any major for EDP and Day Program
n 3.0 GPA (cumulative) (some exceptions apply)
n Demonstrated English proficiency (non-native English speakers only)

Administration & Policy Practice
Prepares social workers to take on leadership roles in human service organizations and in policy arenas. (Full-time students only)
Community-Centered Integrative Practice
CCIP prepares students to be leaders in transformative and culturally responsive social work, equipping them with skills to promote just practice and drive social change across local to global contexts. (Full-time students only)
Clinical Social Work
Prepares students with the comprehensive skills necessary for direct practice with individuals, families, and small groups. (Full-time and part-time students)

Admissions decisions are sent to applicants in March 2025.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
The School of Social Work provides several funding opportunities.
• Complete the Funding Consideration Form to be considered for departmental scholarships- it will appear in your online application upon submitting and paying the app fee.
• Apply for financial aid (FAFSA/WASFA) by Jan. 15, 2025.
• Search for assistantships, on-campus jobs and external funding.
• Learn more about our traineeships, including the Child Welfare Training and Advancement Program (CWTAP) and the Workforce for Student Wellbeing (WSW).
One in four students participate in a tuition-assistance traineeship program.
About 60% of our MSW students receive departmental funding, with average awards totaling $11,615 (excluding federal and state financial aid).

Estimates before federal and state financial aid NOTE: The part-time Advanced Standing Program and Extended Degree Program are fee-based programs in which students pay $962 per credit. The cost is the same for residents and nonresidents. Credit load varies per quarter.
