Who are you and what do you do? We are Frank Moth, a self-taught digital collage artist with his other half. He has been designing for many years before the alias “Frank Moth” was born in 2014. He tries to create nostalgic postcards from the future, in the search for eternity.

How did you make these? Currently, almost exclusively digital with the great freedom that the collage technique offers and with the utmost respect to it.
Why did you make these? Among a great amount of bad decisions, insecurity and procrastination, searching for direction in life, creating these digital artworks was the liberating act that could offer redemption. The inclination to hide our isolation, the reaction to all of that was the effort to fit in with the use of universal concepts, such as love, loneliness, friendship, family, absence, yearning. We try to integrate the human being into the infinite great beauty. Of course there is always the thought of returning to the security of nostalgia.
What do people typically say about your work? We receive so [many] thoughtful and kind comments every day and we are grateful that our work can be a reason for people to change their life for the best. But what overwhelms and stuns us is every single time we see someone have a piece of ourselves in their homes. This is the biggest compliment.

CHALLENGE
Develop a scalable program featuring regional art for 475 SpringHill Suites properties with physical art for business travelers with an online shopping experience for each piece.
SOLUTION
Curate The Gallery Wall featuring 10 regional collections with designs by local artists and regional-inspired works, with a co-branded site for SpringHill guests to shop any design.
Great travel inspires great art. Our collaborative partnership with SpringHill Suites by Marriott merges art and travel. Guests at SpringHill Suites hotels across North America will experience The Gallery Wall, a showcase of ten regionally inspired and specially curated art collections. Each piece in The Gallery Wall is made by an artist who has special ties to the region represented, so by purchasing that piece, you’ll carry an authentic part of your travels with you forever.
Marriott wanted to create a local experience for business travelers through art inspired by the region and regional artists, with a scalable installation program across 475 SpringHill Suites properties. Among the SpringHill Suites properties, ten regions were carved out for The Gallery Wall to be installed in the lobby: North Atlantic, South, Florida, Texas/Oklahoma, Southwest, Alaska/Canada, California, Midwest,

Pacific Northwest, and West Coast. Two versions and two gallery wall sizes were available for each hotel to choose from for their lobbies. Each collection included a paper template for easy installation and consistency in each lobby. Each collection featured 5 or 10 piece gallery wall with a total of 164 unique pieces curated for each destination theme. Additionally, every hotel can access ten art designs from the complete national collection for printed key cards at all properties.

Canvas & Framed Canvas Prints
Fine art print on bright white, archival quality, 21 mil poly-cotton blend matte canvas. All canvases are individually trimmed and hand stretched museum wraps over 1-1/2” deep, kiln dried fir wood stretcher bars. All of the canvases are extensively tested for print permanence using state of the art testing equipment. We require accreditation from the Fine Art Trade Guild using their Blue Wool test. Each product is tested for pH balance and light-fastness. All canvases come ready to hang with a wire or sawtooth hanger.

Thin, lightweight and durable 1/16” aluminum sheet canvas. High gloss finish enhances color and produces sharp image details. Each sheet has a 3/4” wooden frame attached to the back to offset from the wall. Depending on size selected, prints have a wire or sawtooth hanger. Offered in X-Small, Small, Medium and Large. Sizing is based on the file provided by the artist.
Wood Wall Art
With our wood wall art’s multi-square design, you have the power to adjust the spacing between each section to form exactly the right look. Play around with the designs by removing a panel in strategic locations or arrange them around another piece to fill out the look. Each square is 1/2” thick Baltic Birch wood.
