A Journey Through Playful Abstractions and Bold Projects

Alannah Tiller, also known as Alilscribble, brings a playful and spontaneous approach to her abstract art. Inspired by the world around her, from architecture to everyday patterns, her work invites viewers to find their own meaning. With a versatile studio routine and a passion for exploring new surfaces, Alannah’s art is continuously evolving, from digital pieces to large-scale murals.

What is your studio process like?

My studio process really differs from day to day. Because I run my own business sometimes I’m printing orders, sometimes painting, sometimes organizing all of the chaos I tend to create. Either way, I’m probably starting with a latte, setting my playlist (currently Chappell Roan), opening the windows to let the light in and then getting right to work.

What are some dream projects you’d love to work on?

A Dream project for me right now would be to work with a hotel on a pool design! I’m always searching for a new surface to create on! .

If you could describe your work in three words what would they be?

Spontaneous, Playful, Continuous

What do you hope people gain from your work?

I just hope they enjoy it. I want anyone who experiences my work to gain whatever they want or need from it. I try not to ascribe any definite meaning.

Can you describe some of the scenes you depict in your artworks?

I tend to use whatever environments I’m in. I love portraiture, so it could be the people around me. It could also be the architecture or the shadows from the sun. It could be anything that creates a pattern or a collection of shapes I find interesting..

What is the story behind one or some of your artworks?

Most of my work is just a collection of the ways in which I personally have learned to break down our world into a more simplified and abstract set of shapes. I think the story is just that there are so many other ways to look at the things and people around you.

What’s the most memorable project you’ve worked on?

My most memorable project has to be the North Garland Library project I actually just finished! This project required a ton of growth, there were so many learnings for me. It was a combination of digital works and mural painting, renting heavy machinery and hiring mural assistants. I couldn’t be more proud of the finished result!

CHALLENGE

Lifestance, a prominent player in the healthcare industry, sought to transform 138 medical office spaces nationwide.

SOLUTION

Selected 19 artworks, showcasing the talents of six different artists. reflecting a deep appreciation for diversity in art.

Lifestance Health, a national network of behavioral health services and outpatient mental health clinics in the United States, embarked on a transformative journey to create inviting and visually appealing environments for patients and staff. They recognized that incorporating art into healthcare settings could positively impact the overall experience, promoting a sense of comfort.

Partnering with Society6, Lifestance selected 19 captivating artworks showcasing the talents of six different artists. The chosen pieces spanned a spectrum of styles and themes, and a vital aspect of the solution was the thoughtful alignment of these artworks with the location and size of each medical office. pieces were placed to seamlessly integrate with their surroundings, and transformed healthcare facilities into more than just clinical spaces.

This artistic infusion covered the entire nation, from the East Coast clinics to different West Coast facilities. The curated artworks fostered a unique ambiance, making the healthcare experience more pleasant and memorable. The collaboration between Lifestance and Society6 was a resounding success, demonstrating the power of art in enhancing the healthcare environment.

Lifestance’s innovative approach to enhancing medical office spaces through art, in collaboration with Society6, showcases the potential of creative solutions in the healthcare industry. PROJECT HIGHLIGHT

Wolfgang Pichler’s Desert Development

CHALLENGE

Designing homes in the desert involves managing abundant natural light, balancing investor budget constraints, and finding art that suits both the desert palette and the modern aesthetic.

SOLUTION

Wolfgang Pichler used the Society6 Trade Program to source affordable, non-reflective wood panel artwork that fits the desert aesthetic and meets budget constraints while offering flexibility in design.

Wolfgang Pichler is an architectural and interior design firm run by Wolfgang, an architect, and Connie, an interior designer. Originally from Europe, they relocated to the United States six years ago and now specialize in building and remodeling homes in California’s desert regions, specifically the Greater Joshua Tree and Palm Springs areas. Their focus is on designing vacation homes for investors, many of which are transformed into short-term rentals such as Airbnbs.

The firm prides itself on creating unique properties that reflect the natural beauty of the desert environment.

Designing vacation homes in the desert brings a unique set of challenges. The intense natural light in the desert often created issues with glare and reflections, especially with traditional framed artwork. The firm’s modern, open style—featuring expansive windows— made it essential to find non-reflective, visually appealing artwork that photographed well for rental listings. Additionally, investor clients required budget-friendly yet high-quality decor that complemented the desert-inspired color palette of neutrals, earthy reds, and greens.

To address these challenges, Wolfgang Pichler turned to the Society6 Trade Program, which offered a wide range of high-quality artwork options. Society6’s wood panel artwork stood out as the perfect solution. Its non-reflective surface eliminated glare issues, enhancing the presentation of the interiors both in person and in photos. CHALLENGE

Sun at Six faced challenges in finding artwork that complemented their furniture designs and supported their photoshoot merchandising vision.

SOLUTION

Sun at Six is a family-run furniture design studio specializing in traditional Chinese joinery techniques, assembling furniture without nails or screws. Founded by a mother who learned from a master in Beijing over 40 years ago, her son, Antares, now serves as the creative director. Based in New York City, Sun at Six blends these traditional methods with contemporary

design, creating versatile pieces for residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces.

Sun at Six aims to create timeless, meaningful furniture that stands out, but finding the right artwork to enhance their designs proved challenging. For a recent photoshoot, they wanted to juxtapose their contemporary furniture with European-style art, capturing the classical essence of 16th-century Flemish design. They needed decor that complemented their furniture while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic—something difficult to achieve through online sourcing, particularly with textiles and wall hangings where quality can be unpredictable.

To meet these needs, the Sun at Six team turned to Society6. They found a wall hanging featuring a 16th-century Flemish painting that perfectly complemented their furniture, providing the old-world charm they were seeking. Upon receiving the piece, they were impressed by its quality—the tapestry’s rich color and texture added depth and history, enhancing their photoshoot.
