CONCLUSION In conclusion, the Memory Factory is able to run successfully with no issues. However, there are some areas that can be improved on. For example, the comfort of the furniture can be increased further by adding in more cushions in the design. The safety system can be more advanced such as adding safety technology such as security bracelet tags on the patients to notify the caregivers if they run off. The toilet technology can also be more advanced, such as adding an emergency button for them if they require assistance. Also, one aspect that was not fully covered is the direct ventilation of the space. While the surroundings are full of nature, the trees may block out some of the wind into the site. But, the place does not feel very hot as it is located within natural areas. Another weakness is the distance of the space from the main city. This is unavoidable as the site is located near Genting Highlands, which is filled with nature but requires around 40 minutes of travel to reach. This makes caregivers that are working free to visit the place on weekends only. Throughout this project, the Alzheimer’s people can have one more space for them to hang out and socialize. They can exercise and do activities in a natural environment, which can help stimulate their brain. They also can interact among each other and widen their networks. Also, the auditorium provides life long knowledge and programs for caregivers for them to learn how to take care of the Alzheimer’s people. With the natural environment and those activities in the program, the Alzheimer’s people can slow down and delay their disease.
