Pilgrimages to the National Shrine of Saint Therese The Carmelite Spiritual Center is next door to the National Shrine of Saint Therese, with its beautiful chapel and the largest collection of Little Flower relics and memorabilia, outside of Lisieux, France. A Retreat for Men: Archetypes in Everyday Experience Friday, April 20 – Sunday, April 22, 2012 Father James Clark Archetypes are a way of reading reality and accessing the power of one’s soul. In this weekend experience we will unpack the meaning of the four primary masculine archetypes of king, lover, warrior and magician and speak to others as well. This process will involve story, embodied action, sharing, and personal reflection. (Cost $190.00/begins on Friday at 6:00 PM with dinner and ends Sunday at Noon. Mary: Lady of the Place/ Woman of Prayer Tuesday, May 15, 2012 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM Father David Simpson, O.Carm. Mary is presented in Sacred Scripture as a ‘woman of prayer’ who leads us to Christ. In the spiritual landscape of Carmel, she is seen as ‘lady of the place.’ Celebrate the Marian Month with this special program focusing on Mary. (Cost: $40.00/includes Eucharist and lunch. DIRECTED OR PRIVATE RETREAT Faith: God’s Gift to Each of Us June 24-29, 2012 This quiet retreat offers the opportunity to deepen your experience of God’s presence in the silence of your hearts. Spiritual Directors are available for support and prayerful reflection. Or you may choose to have a private retreat, without direction. Eucharist and evening prayer are part of each day. The Sacraments of Reconciliation and Anointing will be offered. (This retreat begins on Sunday at 7:00 PM and concludes Friday at 1:00 PM. Cost: $400.00 includes spiritual direction; or $350.00 for private retreats without direction. Private room with private bath; delicious home cooked meals. Non-refundable deposit of $100.00 is requested at time of registration. Fifteen spaces are available for directed retreats. And fifteen rooms are available for private retreats.)

Dr. Gerry Aylward has been a practicing Orthodontist for 30 years, and is now completing a Master’s in Divinity and Master’s in Spirituality at Loyola University. He is available for Spiritual Direction.
