Los arquitectos creamos vida. Somos responsables de brindar espacios ligados a una emoción para que los individuos lo conserven en su memoria. No hay vida sin recuerdos. La arquitectura responde a las personas así como nosotros respondemos a ella. Ésta debe ser simple, funcional, que utilice nuevos materiales, tecnología integrada e inteligente y que responda al medio ambiente. El contacto de la tecnología de la edificación con el ser humano es accesible y flexible para adaptarse al habitante. En mis estudios de arquitectura he concluido que así deberán ser las obras arquitectónicas. A continuación presento una serie de proyectos realizados entre mi segundo y tercer año de arquitectura en donde muestro su desarrollo. Architects create life. We are responsible of combining spaces with emotions in order to stay in people’s minds. There is no life without memories. Architecture responds to people as we respond to it. This must be simple, funcional, with new materials, integrated technlology, intelligent and that responds to the environment. Contact with technology must be accesible and flexible to adapt directly with the inhabitant. In my architectural studies I have concluded that this is the way edifications must be concieved. In the next pages I present a series of projects executed between my second and third year in architecture where I show the development.

La ciudad requiere centros en donde las personas tengan libertad de expresión, un lugar donde se pueda aprender acerca de artes, oficios y cualquier área recreativa. Este espacio debe poder resguardar a los individuos, que en caso de que ocurra un desastre natural, puedan llegar a refugiarse a este sitio. Se propone un programa con salones multiusos, oficinas, guardería y servicios. Se pretende que su espacio central se enfoque a la unión de estos espacios para reunir a la comunidad.

The city requires centers where people can have liberty of expression, where they can learn about arts, crafts and any recreative area. In case of a natural disaster, this space is also able to contain a numerous amount of people. In the program there are multipurpose rooms, offices, a kindergarten and services. The central space pretends to unite this program where people gather and create a community.

ENCONJUNTOCON Plan Maestro Vía Cordillera Nosotros creemos que el urbanismo de hoy en día debe capturar siempre el carácter y esencia de la ciudad, sin embargo, esto no siempre ocurre. Partiendo de un análisis inspirado en la obra de Francis Alÿs no podemos evitar notar la creciente necesidad de lograr una verdadera integración en comunidad a partir de la realidad de cada individuo. Esta realidad no siempre es clara, de hecho, generalmente la encontramos distorsionada o “pixeleada” por muchos factores. Nosotros pretendemos aprovechar esta distorsión. Las perspectivas en torno a este punto son amplias y muy variadas, y nos encontramos ante el reto de conjugar los requerimientos del desarrollo y los de la comunidad en la que éste se habrá de integrar. Las estrategias de apropiación de los espacios son evidentes a través de toda la ciudad, y creemos que un proyecto debe dar cabida a ellos, replicarlos aún, para aprender más sobre nuestro verdadero contexto y reafirmando el sentimiento de pertenencia como una plusvalía a los espacios en cuestión. En respuesta, desarrollamos un módulo cuya flexibilidad permite absorber todas estas acciones que el individuo desarrolla en la ciudad.

We believe that now a days our urbanism must capture the character and the essence of the city, however this doesn’t occur much. Based on an analysis inspired from Francis Alÿs works we can´t avoid to note the growing necessity of achieving a truth integration in the community parting from the reality of each individual. This reality it’s not always clear, in fact, generally we find it distorted or “pixelated” for many diferent factors. We pretend to use this distortion. The perspectives around this point are wide and varied, we are faced by the challenge of conjugating the requirements of development and of the community in which this has to integrate. The strategies of appropriation of spaces are evident in the whole city. We think a project must respond to them and even replicate them to learn more about our real context and afirm a sense of belonging. In response, we designed a module which is flexible and permits absorb all these actions that the individual develops in city.

El edificio TH1 forma parte de un conjunto de edifcios que crean un plan maestro, diseñado especialmente para ese sitio. Existen conexiones y áreas comunes entre los edificios de usos mixtos que crean el ambiente san petrino al cual los arquitectos nos dirigimos. TH1 transforma el sentido de la vista apreciando la naturaleza dentro y fuera del edificio. Llena de posibilidades para descubrir un estilo de vida diferente.

TH1 is part of a set of buildings that create a unique master plan, specifically designed for that site. There are conections and common areas between the multiple-use buildings that create the environment of the town. TH1 transforms the sense of appreciating nature inside and outside the building. It’s full of possibilities to discover a different lifestyle.

La mejor manera de mostrar ideas es plasmarlo en dibujo, lo hemos visto en todos los grandes arquitectos en donde muestran su mayor intención al usar lápiz. No se puede negar la existencia de la tecnología y las maneras posibles de representar edificios con el uso de la computadora y hay que saberla utilizar para lograr mostrar la idea.

The best way to show your work is by drawing, we have seen it in the greatest architects where they demonstrate their biggest intention using a pencil. I started to represent my ideas by using a “digital sketch” which involves drawings and picture effects to create a real sensation.
