PRP injury Therapy “what is it?” Surgery to treat a Achilles tendon Rupture

November 2, 2023

PRP Therapy Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a type of therapy that can help with treating injuries.

The liquid portion of your blood, known as plasma, is primarily composed of protein and water. It permits the circulation of platelets, red blood cells, and white blood cells. Your blood clot is created by platelets, a particular kind of blood cell. They aid in the healing process as well. Physicians may use (PRP) for wounds or injury to the skin, muscles, joints, tendons, and ligaments.

A physician takes blood from you to obtain plasma, then uses a machine to separate the platelet-rich plasma from the remaining blood. After that, the PRP injection site on your body is made numb by the doctor. After you're unconscious, the physician injects your plasma into the targeted part of your body using a needle.

Achilles Tendon rupture and how to treat it. The achilles tendon is a thick band of tissue that attatches the calf muscle to the hell bone. It is very strong. Achilles tendon rupture happens after the tendon stretches to its breaking point. It most commonly occurs while playing sports. Tripping, falling, or twisting your ankle can also cause an Achilles tear.

A back of the calf incision is made during achilles tendon rupture surgery. The surgeon will sew the tendon back together if it has been ruptured. If the tendon is degenerated, the surgeon might suture the remaining portion of the tendon after removing the damaged portion.

Victor Cruz Victor Cruz went up for a touchdown catch in the back of the endzone during a 2014 season game at Lincoln Financial Field against the Philadelphia Eagles, but he stumbled and tore a patellar tendon in his right knee. Cruz's recovery would be long, and it was uncertain that he would be the same player when (and if) he returned. Even after six to twelve months, patellar injuries may not heal completely, leaving the knee partially ruined. Cruz had previously overcome great odds to win the Super Bowl and be an undrafted free agent, but after the injury, everything was uncertain. Cruz worked extremely hard and returned to the Giants' practice field during training camp in 2015, but he ended up missing the entire season due to a calf injury. Cruz underwent calf surgery, and more people in football wondered if he would ever play another snap for the Giants—or in the NFL. Cruz's determination to get healthy, however, was unaffected. Cruz continued to work hard and used highintensity training focused on lower-leg and single-leg workouts to regain his strength. He used a variety of exercises, such as straight leg raises, hamstring curls, squats, and ankle mobility exercises. "Whether it was it was lunges, single-leg squats, leg presses, calf raises —all of that really built that foundation of strength I needed for the long haul," Cruz told reporters.
