pop-up architecture - against food waste


#CREATING AWARNESS #MI-RIFIUTO Mi Rifiuto is a gathering/social space were food boxes collected from the restaurants nearby (through too good to go) can be baught and consumed all in one space. The scope of the project is generate awareness on how food waste can be faught and controlled. It is also an attempt to change the negative connotation of the italian word “rifiuto” (waste), into an active verd “Mi-rifiuto” which translates into “I refuse to...” The symbolism of the doggy-bag is literaly built into the architecture which tries to normalize in Italy a concept that is not yet accepted and practiced.

05 Libre-Ria 2019 XXI Library in the China Town district of Boston



Located in the Chinatown District of Boston Massachusetts, was designed this library, which responds to the everyday chan ging needs and technologies of a library. With the purpose of creating an urban edge the library respects and integrates with the surrouding buildings height. There is a free ground plan, constituted by arches which allows for a free circulation and that connects it to the Chi natonw gate (close to it). The volume was inspired to the typo logy of an Italian “Piazza”, which not only generates greater public space, but creates a surprise oasis in its interior.

06 Copa_Museum 2018 Design of a museum in Copacabana, Ipanema

COPAMUSEUM Through a technique of layering (pedestrian, built mass, vegetation, surface, public and private spaces), was developed an urban rearrangement of the Copacabana Coast, and a carnival museum was integrated in the program. Dealing with the existent, many topographic variation have taken place to reestablish centrality, connectivity and order. Moreover, due to an existent issue of connectivity, (between the beach/Museu Militar/The site) was solved by extruding some layers and creating a continuous circulation. Important relationship betwe en the slabs and their supportive system (evident from the exaggerated thickness of the slabs). There is a distinction between vertical and horizontal elements, where the bending platforms and the vertical elements allow circulation from one level to another as well as dividing spaces and serving as exposition walls for the museum. The stairs become part of the system. The reflection of the glass, rather than its transparency, allows visitors to enjoy the view of the forest, which remains a mystery until they are fully within the structure (thanks to the arrange ment of the wall system).

The office of Studio Noju, located in Madrid, Spain. My role in this project was to produce the final drawings of the office as well as physical adjustments and reorganization of the spaces for the s h o o t i n g .


Leven Hotel

Leven Hotel is an unbuilt project which incarnates a unit of a resort complex. Starting from a base of quadratic and round shapes my role was to design and 3d model the space. I was also in charge of creating renders to test m a t e r i a l i t y .

Estudio los Palacios are two 28m2 apartments in Sevilla, Spain. The small space available gave opportunity to explore the best way to optimize the space: two complementary walls which, through their opening and closing activate the different uses (ex. Living, sleeping, kitchen, bathroom). These modular spaces, which can contract and expand according to the respective needs, challenging the traditional notion of room in architecture, creating spaces that are easily converted through simple gesture, and where the user is an active architectural element for the space to transform.


My role in this project was to do research on the optimization of spaces and subsequently design a variation of plans options. Furthermore I 3d modelled the space, and with the help of my team, we selected the materiality to produce renders. The project was approved by the client and I was in charge of providing them with a final budget plan (including materials, electro domestics etc. ).

KIRO-Practica is an unbuilt physiotherapy space of 130 m2, that I helped design with my team at studio NOJU. I realized all the drawings, from Autocad to Adobe Illustrator, a 3d model and some fast V-ray images to test materiality and lighting.

La construcción de los espectrómetros se realizará íntegramente en madera, empleando los tableros de chopo europeos de plantación sostenible aportados por Garnica, tanto para el espectrómetro de Viña Lanciano como para el de Quinta do Seixo.

Los tableros de Garnica irán terminados en pintura de exterior biodegradables y 100% ecológicas, sin tóxicos ni COVs. Para el espectrómetro de Viña Lanciano se empleará un azul RAL 5002 y para el de Quinta do Seixo un amarillo RAL 1028.

Los visores de los espectrómetros se realizarán con planchas de PLEXIGLAS® GS o similar caracterizados por su calidad óptica, apto tanto para interior como para exterior, sin emisión de COVs.

marble_worskshop A two week intense workshop in Pietrasanta, Italy, tought me the techniques to realize my first marble statue. The teaching process involved a comibination of both ancient/ traditional ways of sculpting and the use of more technological machinery. The sculpture represents an elevated cloud, which was an experiment to tranform such a solid and heavy mass into a symbol of lightness.
