WE HELP WITH HOUSING
Paul served in the Royal Engineers during the 1970s. After leaving the Army he worked as a self-employed kitchen fitter but lost work when the COVID-19 pandemic struck. Paul was left homeless when the council closed the caravan site where he lived. With nowhere to turn, he and his beloved dog Wee Jock were forced to live in his car. Paul received an emergency grant from our charity and support from our partner, the Amicus Trust, enabling him to begin a new life in a council-owned property.
Paul is a former Army Photographer and won second place in our 2018 Photo Competition for his image, ‘Veterans in Scarlet’. He is now hoping to establish himself as a self-employed photographer. Paul says: ‘I am now in my own home and have
