Annual general assembly The annual general meeting is the highest association body. It meets once a year. Its duties principally include enacting the articles of the Association, approving the annual report, the annual financial statement and the audit report and electing and dismissing the members of the Board and the President and Auditor.

The Board of Directors The Board of Directors represents the highest executive body and as such reports to the annual general meeting. The Board of Directors is responsible for electing the managing director, supervising the administrative office and approving the agenda, financial plan and annual budget Head off ice The administrative office carries out all of SolidarMed’s activities in Switzerland and abroad according to the resolutions and guidelines of the annual general meeting and the Board of Directors. In particular, the administrative office is in charge of the planning and execution of SolidarMed’s projects, programmes and activities, hiring the personnel in charge of the former, preparing the annual budget, fundraising and maintaining membership records and collecting membership dues. The programmes are implemented locally by the country offices together with our partners. The number of employees at the administrative office in Lucerne as of year-end 2020 was 14.9 full-time positions (previous year: 13.3).
