How it all started
This story of passion for soles began to be written in the late 70s, more precisely in 1978, when José Manuel Pimenta had the first contact with the footwear components sector.
Inspired by the dynamism of the Felgueiras region – internationally recognized for being one of the largest industrial centers in the footwear area – José specialized in the area of footwear components, officially creating SOLPRÉ in 1988. The goal of founding the company was to anchor his previously acquired know-how with a competitive specialization logic that would capture the interest of the largest international brands. Then, with the support of 50 employees, SOLPRÉ was walking its path with watchwords that are still used today: quality, innovation, agility, efficiency, exclusivity and customization.
Legacy
We carry a legacy of footwear tradition, passed on from generation to generation. This crossing of experiences is also present in the management of the family company, in which the administrator José Manuel Pimenta works alongside Alexandre Pimenta, his son and SOLPRÉ’s Commercial Director.
Prototyping/ Samples Exclusive production line for samples and prototypes, which guarantees a more efficient process, greater dynamics and flexibility in the types of products to be developed simultaneously.
Costumer Choose the preferred last or bottom outline for the new product. Solpré is able to adapt the product to the customer’s existing shapes, at no extra cost.
Development Product design according to the customer’s needs, with full capacity for in-house mold development and all production support tools. This guarantees total exclusivity for the customer.
Laboratory In-house laboratory that evaluates product design to ensure feasibility in production and to select the most appropriate construction methods.

Certifications Solpré has certifications that prove our concern with quality, safety and environment and product: ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, FSC and GRS.
With two separate production lines, high production efficiency, and manufacturing flexibility for these types of products, Solpré stands out as the most significant and distinguished player in the European market for this product category.
