PRODUCT OVERVIEW Advanced Motion

Advanced Motion with EtherNet/IP Reliability and Performance with a Familiar Interface

Comfortable with your PLC, but need a more reliable motion solution?

You don’t have to give up the PLC and network you are comfortable with just because you want reliable motion control. Harness the power and reliability of Mitsubishi Electric’s iQ Motion Platform for your most demanding motion control applications. Now you can share motion control data with your PLC via the built-in EtherNet/IP port on the Q170MCPU-EIP motion controller.

Applications

The Advanced Motion with EtherNet/IP system is designed to handle the most complicated high speed applications with an easy to use graphical Mechanical Editor programming style. Simply draw your machine, set the gear ratios, go! The motion controller will synchronize the axes and graphically display an animation of the entire system. The Advanced Motion with EtherNet/IP system is ideally suited for use in industries such: ■■ Food and Beverage ■■ Pharmaceutical ■■ Packaging ■■ Automotive, Assembly Equipment ■■ Semiconductor and Solar Wafer Processing ■■ Printing and Converting including Winding and Unwinding

Camming, Synchronous Motion, and More

When your application requires advanced motion control features such as camming, synchronous motion with encoder following, and registration, the Advanced Motion with EtherNet/IP system is your solution. This highly scalable solution allows configurations up to 16 axes with the Q170MCPU-EIP stand-alone motion controller. Error handling and program flow are handled by the iQ Motion Application Framework, which is a free downloadable project that makes program development fast, easy, and consistent from project to project.
