Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors, is the United Methodist Church motto. Covington First UMC strives to live by this each day. We welcome ALL into our church doors to nd a place to worship, grow spiritually, raise your family, make Christian friendships, and together, to be the hands and feet of Jesus serving our community. We know, however, that we cannot be His hands and feet alone nor do we want to. Because of the amazing partnerships, friendships, and servant hearts of YOU, NEWTON COUNTY, together we can indeed host the Best Community and Best Charity Event each year with the hope and prayer that each person who comes grows in education of what our community offers, leaves with items to lighten their load, and most importantly felt the love of Jesus through all who gathered and served to make Change The World Day possible. The Food Pantry continues to serve the community 52 weeks out of the year, thanks to these same partnerships and friendships, providing nutrition and resources for those in need of these services.

Our Preschool strives to provide a strong education base for the youngest members of our community and to help to prepare them for kindergarten while helping them to grow their independence, make friendships, and share with their young friends the love of Jesus.
